"Nash, what's going on! Are you a part of this?"
"Darlin' I wish I could answer that, but I don't know either. However, I can promise you I didn't do anything."
"Were you just distracting me yesterday so that someone could go around spreading rumors about me! I don't even know what happened! All I know is that my best friend hates me and I have no idea who to trust or believe!"
I started crying. "I don't even know if I should be sad or angry. I thought Avery would always be there for me. But she said some pretty hurtful things to me. I know she's probably just as hurt and confused as I am but... I think our friendships over."
"I'm so sorry darlin'." Nash rubbed circles on my back as I took deep breaths. "I hate not being able to fix it all for you, but I promise I'll try my best."
"Nash, it's not your fault. It's fine."
"No it's not, but it's my family causing all this."
"Nash, we don't even know what happened yet. Honestly, I think I'm more mad at Avery than your family. Even if your family started a lie, she knows me better than to believe it. Maybe Grayson's right. It may be best just to please your family and take their side, whatever that side is."
"Darlin' I wouldn't advise you to start taking any sides. It's best to just try and stay out of the drama."
"I know. But I don't feel a need to stand up for Avery anymore since all she wants to do is tear me down. I might as well be friendly to your family."
"Well, you might as well start with my mother. Wanna help me try to get to the bottom of this mess?"
