el has never been more excited. it was mikes birthday soon and el had been preparing.

see, biscuits hat was just a practice.

she was planning on making him one too. at first, she wanted to make a scarf or a pillow case but she found those to be way too difficult when she tried.

she wasn't sure why, in all honesty but she loved making biscuit a hat.

crawling onto mike to wake him, she began to shake him. "wake up!"

he groaned. "el,"

"please, sweetheart. please, it's so early," he told her, trying to pull her back down.

she pouted and tugged on his shirt, going under his shirt then up his collar to look at him. "but it's nine. and i want to eat omelette,"

mikes eyes opened and he smiled gently at her, hugging her close as she leaned into his chest. "morning, curly head,"

"morning, sweetheart," he whispered as she exited his shirt and sat up.

she smiled widely before burying her head back down into him.

he laughed and sat up as he hugged tightly onto her, rolling them over before he leaned down to kiss her neck.

she giggled, throwing her head back. "that tickles!"

he chuckled and kissed her harder before pulling back, her hand reaching out to ruffle his hair. "should we get pancakes?"

he nodded and then cupped her face, cradling her cheek. "i love you,"

she smiled widely and whispered. "i love you too,"

leaning her cheek closer into his palm, she closed her eyes and allowed him to pull her closer.

"what should we do today?" she whispered as she went to sit on his lap, his legs criss crossed.

he shrugged.

"we could go shopping? we could go to the park?" she asked before gasping. "or we could go to dustin's!"

"why dustin's?" he asked.

she blinked innocently. "he said there's a game we can play. can we go?"

"sure," he breathed out tiredly. "sure, yeah. let's get ready then,"

she grinned widely and kissed his cheek before running for the bathroom.

"we were jet-set, bonny and clyde!" el screamed to the lyrics as she held onto biscuits paws and jumped around like they were dancing. "until i switched to the other side! to the other side!"

biscuit meowed, trying to move away but el brought her in her arms. "i'm in the getaway car! i left you in a motel bar! put the money in the bag and stole the keys! that was the last time you ever saw me!" she jumped up and down as biscuit meowed loudly.

"yes, sing with me biscuit!"

biscuit let out a sound like an annoyed groan as el skipped around the living room.

"el?" mike asked as he came into the room. "do you want carbonara or bolognese?"

"carbon!"

he nodded. "okay. stop throwing the pillows, please,"

she stopped moving and shot him the biggest frown, her bottom lip jutting out into a pout.
