Frieza's P.O.V.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the foolish woman's words. I never imagined a human such as this would be so arrogant. This Zira truly believes she's a match for Tagoma? I can't imagine she stands a chance against him. While he's certainly not even close to my own power level, I can already tell he's far stronger than any of the other morons who stand beside me. Still, my tail flickered slightly, curious of what made her so sure of herself anyway.

"Is that right? You want me to attack first? A rather foolish idea....but if you insist!" Tagoma didn't hesitate lunge forward, immediately throwing a fist towards her face. However the woman caught the fist in her hand, her expression remaining unphased. Tagoma blinked, briefly caught offguard before continuing to throw punches at her. However, to my surprise, she blocked each other effortlessly, not a single attack connecting.

"What the - but Tagoma's attacks are incredibly fast! How can she block them so easily?" Sorbet said. Tagoma leaped back, gaining a bit of distance between the two of them, a frustrated expression on his face.

"Hmph. Don't think blocking a few punches is going to save you!" he stated. He held out his hand and released a mirage of yellow energy shots, all heading straight towards her. The woman barely reacted, watching calmly as the yellow shots flew towards her. "Zira, look out!" Gohan shouted. She didn't even acknowledge him. Instead, she placed her hands together, and suddenly a red shield formed around her. All of Tagoma's attacks were deflected instantly, not even putting a scratch on her energy shield. Tagoma growled, clenching his fists even tighter.

"Why you...." he muttered.

"I apologize. Would you prefer if I take to the air? Maybe you'll have a better advantage then." Zira replied. I blinked, surprised by her comment, watching as she hovered higher into the air, farther away from the ground and her friends. Tagoma watched for a moment before sneering at her, flying right towards her. "Don't you get cocky with me!!" he snapped. He swiftly raised his leg to kick at her head, but she blocked it with the back of her arm. He tried to take the chance to kick her stomach with his other leg, but she caught that one with her other arm. Tagoma's power flared up dramatically, increasingly becoming more agitated.

"I'm not done yet!" he stated, flying back once again. He formed a large energy beam in his hands and shot it towards her, the bright yellow light illuminating the scene. Even still though, Zira remained unphased, and simply held up on hand. It glowed red for a moment, and somehow it caused the beam to bounce off her hand, instead flying towards the mountain. Tagoma's eyes widened in shock as the blast exploded on the mountain side, rocks falling towards the ground.

"Whoa, what the - how did she....?" the little bald human said, speechless.

I couldn't help but feel just as confused. I was under the impression humans weren't this skilled or powerful. So how was she handling Tagoma's attacks so flawlessly? There wasn't even a scratch on her. Speaking of, Tagoma seemed beyond furious at this point, his face flushing a bright red.

"Damn you! Just how long do you intend to remain on defense?! Fight back already! You claim you can harm me, prove it!" he shouted in impatience. Zira narrowed her eyes for a moment before closing her eyes. "You want me to fight back? Are you sure about that?" she asked carefully, her tone calm and collected. "I don't need your pity or your damn mercy! I am Lord Frieza's future second in command, and I demand you treat me seriously!" the alien snapped in response. Zira gave a small, inaudible sigh. Her hair started to float around her, and a red aura formed around her body. Just what was she doing....?

"Very well....if that's what you wish."

Suddenly her eyes snapped open, revealing fierce, red eyes.
