So Angelo loved me now?

I was sure it was too early as we haven't known each other long. Hell, I don't even know his favourite color, or movie.

I don't know anything about anyone!!

But that was going to change today-tonight. Movie night in the house's very own movie room- yes awesome, I know.

I can't decide between Disney and Marvel. Welp.

"Miss Agosti. Could you answer number ten for us, please?" My science teacher called out. I looked at her, snapped out of my daze.

How many days in a woman's menstrual cycle? "Twenty-eight, Miss." She smiled and wrote the answer on the board.

"Correct! Now could you all please compete the sheet for homework. It's due next week." I really liked Miss Mills, she is very kind and not overbearing.

The bell rang to dismiss us and all the students packed up quickly, practically running out of the classroom. I was about to head to English when Miss Mills called me back.

"Isabella," I walked back to her desk. "I just want to let you know that if you need anything, you can come to me and I'll help you. Anything at all, whether it be this little guy, or the homework, whatever." She pretends to squeeze Bear's cheeks when she mentions him. I guess she knows not to touch him.

I nod with a bright smile. "Thank you, Miss. I will." She smiles back and lets me go to my next lesson.

Whilst walking down the corridor, I get stares and glares and judgy looks. I try to ignore them but the voice in my head tells me what they are thinking. They hate you. They're judging you. They say you don't belong here.

Before I could do anything about the voice, I felt a nudge on my leg. Looking down, I see Bear stuffing his face into my leg to get my attention.

"What? You have my attention now. What is it?" He kept pawing at my foot so I moved to stand out of the way, by some lockers.

My dog wouldn't stop until I calmed my breathing. I hadn't realised that my breathing had become erratic but Bear helped me by giving me signs. He's learning.

Once we had both fully recovered, Bear led me to the next class.

"Hi! I'm Angela. You must be Isabelle, you sit next to me. Right here." This girl waved in my face as soon as I stepped into the classroom. I almost stumbled back at the close proximity.

Bear instantly growled a bit, only loud enough for me to hear.

"Hi? And it's Isabella." I corrected her quietly. She waved me off and pushed me to sit in the seat. I didn't even have time to take my bag off or let Bear get settled on the floor by my legs.

"Anyway, you can be my partner for this class, not to brag but Mrs Adam loves me." I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes, I could even feel Bear sigh.

"I think I'm alright, thanks." She gave me incredulous look as if to say 'you did not just say that'. I grimaced. "I prefer to work alone." I didn't want to hurt her feelings but she needed to back off.

After that very awkward interaction, the teacher finally arrvied and I ended up getting stuck right in with the tasks.

-

"Sorry about her." A voice said from behind me, scaring the shit out of me.

Turning around, I see a girl the same age as me, smirking at my reaction. "Sorry to scare you. I'm Eliza." She held her hand out for me to shake. I do.

"Isabella." Eliza smiles and continues.

"Angela is a teacher's pet and a complete psycho." I laugh. Now that she mentions it, when I said I wanted to work alone, the look she gave me, gave off psycho vibes.

"I can see that."

"Yeah, when her boyfriend broke up with her, she broke into his house and then stalked him for a month straight. I'd steer clear if I were you." I like Eliza.

"Hey, can you show me where the changing rooms are for P.E? I haven't been there yet. If you couldn't tell, I'm new."

"Yeah sure, I have that class now too. And of course I know you're new. No one would willingly sit next to Angela, not if they were sane anyway." She only just realised Bear.

"Aw what a cutie, can I pet him?"

"Um," I look down to him to see him laying on the floor.

"It's okay, lets go." Eliza smiled warmly at me as I followed her down the hall after gently prying the dog from the ground.

-

"Hang your bag here, next to mine so it doesn't get lost among the sea of fake designer handbags." We giggled and I headed over to the cubicles for some more privacy. I don't need spiteful eyes lurking on my back or torso.

After changing into the hideous kit of a polo top and itchy shorts, Eliza led me out to the field behind the school. Why on earth are they making us do this outside? It is absolutely freezing, it's winter-

"Pair up, girls!" The teacher said. One of the girls complained about it being too cold to be out here and the teacher replied with 'you'll warm up'. Of course she would say that with her big coat on, wooly gloves and scarf.

She looked like she was going hiking in the mountains. That's how cold it is today. Luckily, Luca let me borrow one of his oversized coats this morning so I wouldn't die of hypothermia.

He said we would buy lots of clothes for me soon, we just haven't had the chance to; with my epilepsy, the dog, medicine, school and my past.

A tug on my arm pulled me out of my thoughts. Eliza tugged me towards the bag of footballs. She grabbed one then we spread apart enough for her to throw it to me.

The lesson consisted of basically that and running with the ball to and from each other.

Finally, it was time for Angelo to pick me up. Romeo had driven himself to school to avoid being with me. I didn't mind the comfortable silence Angelo brings though. At least I don't have to talk.

"How was school, Bella? Anyone to call a friend yet?" Or so I thought.

I thought through my answer. "It was good. I made one friend, her name's Eliza." He turns his head to me from the road for a second before turning back.

"Oh, that's good! I'm glad you have someone." I smile, happy with my luck of finding a kind person.

Angelo

I wonder if the girl Bella has made friends with Eliza Garcia. Herself and her brother, Matteo, sometimes come to visit us; their family and ours have always had a good alliance.

If it is, then I know, for sure, that my baby will be well looked after at school. Eliza is such a kind and caring girl. She is one of the most skilled teens in the Mafia world.

The Spanish Mafia is lucky to have her and I'm glad that the Italian and Spanish Mafia have a strong relationship.

I'm ill, I got bottom braces on my teeth and I'm due on my monthly. Life has never been better ;))

A little bit of wrtiters block is great too! So I'm sorry about the wait and I'm adding to my other unpublished books too.

It's all hands on deck right now.
