It is said that Lians began to evolve from bipedal creatures to a species that stand in the air several hundred thousand years ago.

Before that time, they lived a primitive life on two legs, much like the Japanese.

What put an end to that life and forced them to flee to the open sky was either a mutation or the end of evolution, as a creature appeared that preyed on the Lians.

The guibola. This subterranean creature, 15 meters long and 2 meters wide, lives constantly in the soil. It preyed on Lians and it is said that it is sensitive to stimuli coming from the ground and attacks by surprise from underground, in addition to eating small animals.

Common sense dictates that it would be impossible for such a large creature to move so agilely in the ground, but it uses subterranean phorons to reach speeds of nearly 20 kilometers per hour.

For some reason, this guibola preferred the taste of the Lians, and the Lians were preyed without being able to compete.

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, civilization was primitive and the only weapons they have were stone knives, there was no countermeasure against the guibolas which moved underground and suddenly sprang out of nowhere.

Fortunately or unfortunately, one guibola will take three days to digest its prey, and if only one appears, an entire village will not be wiped out in a single night. As long as it is just one.

Even if the ancient Lians were lucky enough to settle in a rocky area where the guibolas cannot get close, the land is a place where it's difficult to grow crops.

On the other hand, staying on the soft ground where crops will grow will cause the Lians to become easy targets.

Then, they discovered 'keya' that grows wild in giant trees. It is said that this is where the Lians' staple food became mushrooms, and despite problems with water and other nutritional requirements, the Lians survived for the time being.

Centuries after the appearance of the guibolas, a generation began to emerge that could float in the air. Evolution had begun to create a biological Leviron mechanism in their physique.

However, they can only float for a few centimeters, and the previous generation, who cannot do so, saw them as the devil's generation and shunned them.

Guibolas continued to increase in numbers due to the lack of natural enemies, and the Lians' population decreased proportionally.

The problem was that this was limited to certain areas.

As the number of preys decreased, predators would inevitably become starving. When that happens, predators will seek out new food sources and the guibola was no exception.

Outside of that limited area, the Lians, who cannot float in the air yet and had no concept of distribution in their primitive lifestyle, lived without knowledge of the existence of guibola.

On the other hand, the guibolas learned to hunt efficiently through years of experience, and these quiet assassins invaded the continent in increasing numbers.

According to the latest research, the primitive Lians originated in Euritasia, right next to the Martani Continent, and migrated to the Martani and Elderou Continents when they began to stand in the sky.

Archaeology is not excellent due to their aversion to the ground, but it is said that when the sky-standing generation exceeded the majority of the population, they started migrating to escape from the guibolas.

In those days, when there were no vehicles, they had to travel alone, and they did not even have maps. It is said that only 10 to 20 percent of the people were able to make it to the destination, as they had to travel tens of thousands of kilometers across the sea with no way of knowing where they were going.
