David Brennon let out a heavy sigh as he witnessed the live feed of the chaotic battle unfolding in California's dungeon.
"How's the situation, Mr. Connor?" he inquired, his voice filled with concern.
"It's bad, sir. The dragon's breath attack wiped out most of our top-ranked hunters on the front line. Only Master Thomas, Chris, Liu, and Siddharth managed to survive. Master Thomas and Chris are currently holding off the dragons, but I'm not sure how long they can last. Master Liu, Siddharth, and the remaining hunters are dealing with waves of monsters," Deputy Director Michael Connor reported, his voice trembling with anxiety.
Brennon could sense the gravity of the situation from Connor's nervous demeanor. If the remaining hunters failed to contain the monsters, America would be doomed within a week.
"The hunters are constructing shield barricades to impede the advance of the monsters," the commentator aboard the helicopter informed the viewers. "As you can see, they are struggling due to the overwhelming numbers."
"Chirp, chirp, chirp, zap!" the commentator exclaimed in excitement. "How is he so fast? One of the hunters is taking on the monsters alone, effortlessly obliterating them with a single strike. Keep the camera on him!"
The two witnesses to the battle were left astounded, sharing the same burning question in their minds: "Who is he?"
...
'They're weaker than I anticipated,' Sasuke thought, his interest waning as he glanced at the lifeless orc bodies strewn before him.
"Hey, sir! Are you the backup the association sent?" a voice behind Sasuke interrupted his thoughts.
"No, I just happened to be passing through," Sasuke replied in fluent English. He wasn't lying; he had stumbled upon this dimension by accident.
"Oh, I see," Siddharth muttered, feeling a slight pang to his pride as the stranger didn't spare him a glance. However, after witnessing Sasuke's abilities earlier, he didn't dwell on it.
RUMBLE!
BANG!
Another horde of monsters emerged.
Sasuke finds it intriguing.
[Why would a non-human fight alongside humans?] suddenly, a high-ranking orc, appearing to be the leader, spoke.
Sasuke had dedicated himself to learning the language of this country during his one-week stay in this dimension. Now, he found himself faced with a language he couldn't understand once again.
[Ah? You don't understand our language. Hey, mage, quickly translate!] the high-ranking orc shouted in annoyance.
Robed high-orcs began casting spells.
"How is it, humans?" the leader asked in English.
Sasuke and the hunters were taken aback by this revelation.
"Monsters can speak human language?" someone muttered, their face drained of color.
"Why are you targeting humans?" Sasuke inquired.
"Kukukuku... We've been given the command to kill humans," the orc leader pointed to his head. "But strangely, that command doesn't apply to you." He then gestured towards Sasuke.
'So they don't consider me human? And that voice in their heads... must be some form of genjutsu,' Sasuke concluded, realizing that there were still many mysteries surrounding the gate and the monsters.
"So, why don't you step aside and let us kill the humans behind you?" the orc leader smirked, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
The hunters trembled, fearing that the stranger who had aided them would comply.
"No, I'd rather die fighting," Liu suddenly spoke up, his voice laced with determination. Despite his injuries, he took a step forward, his eyes shining with unwavering resolve.
A faint smile appeared on Sasuke's lips as he heard Liu's words, respecting the man's determination.
"You stay where you are and rest. I will handle this fight," Sasuke declared.
[Ha, ha, ha! You're confident facing my thousands of troops alone?] the orc leader laughed, joined by his army.
Sasuke's eyes turned icy cold. Ever since his friend had changed him, he had vowed never to return to his former life. Perhaps by aiding these people, he could atone for some of his past sins, even if only a little.
He took deliberate steps forward, his pace gradually quickening. He showed no hesitation in the face of the thousands of monsters towering over him.
Gathering his chakra, he channeled it through each tenketsu, infusing his lightning elemental jutsu into his body, forming a protective armor and enhancing his speed.
Clank!
Chirp!
Chirp!
"Chidori" (One Thousand Birds), he whispered.
Drawing his Kusanagi blade, he coated it with the electrifying power of Chidori. His right Sharingan eye locked onto his target.
Slash!
Slash!
Slash!
Sasuke swiftly beheaded the orc leader, as well as two orcs standing by his side, all underestimating him.
"When in battle, I despise unnecessary talk," Sasuke growled, his annoyance palpable. Unconsciously, his killing intent permeated the air, sending shivers of fear through the high orc army and the hunters who sensed it.
