PAIGE
Blaze and I were sitting in the waiting room for my doctor's appointment. I was super nervous and scared. I just didn't know what to do. We're only 17. Scrapping 18.
"Paige?" the doctors called and I smiled at her and got up with Blaze. We walked into the room and she told me to take a seat.
"Hi how are you?" she said smiling
"I'm okay thanks just a bit nervous" I explained
"That's normal, so here I'm going to have you pee in this and then come back out for me is that okay?" she said as she directed me to the bathroom
I nodded and went ahead into the bathroom. I sat with the cup waiting for the need to pee.
a few minutes later
I came out of the bathroom and handed the doctor the cup of pee. She took a white stick-like paper and then put it in my pee.
"This is similar to a pregnancy test stick, but this is just a strip. if two lines appear then you're pregnant and if they don't then it's negative" she explained and I nodded
"damn you can find out just from her pee?" Blaze said
"yes we can" she chuckled at Blaze's comment
she looked at the test and then back at me
"you're pregnant, so I can book you in for an ultrasound and find out how far along you are, as we don't have time for that today," she said
my world went blank. I started to panic. all I did was nod in response.
"Next week Monday okay for you?" she asked and I nodded
"yeah it's fine, is 9 am okay?" Blaze said realising I went mute because of how scared I was. he held my hand
"perfect, we can decide how you want to proceed then, thank you for coming in have a nice day," she said noticing how quiet I got
"thank you, you too," Blaze said as we walked out of the room, I gave her a weak smile
we walked into the reception and sat down. blaze went on his phone for a bit I assumed he was booking an uber. he had one hand on my thigh for comfort. I sat there staring at the baby leaflets on the table.
what are we going to do?
"your brothers outside come babe," blaze said as he took my hand
we got into the back seat and I was fighting for my life to keep the tears in. I just wanted to be alone.
"blaze I'm going to drop you home aight? I think she might need some time alone" Pablo said
"I don't want to leave her," blaze said back
"I hear it but I think she just needs to be alone for a while aight ?" Pablo said again
blaze turned to me and looked into my eyes. I broke eye contact I couldn't stare at him for that long
"aight cool," he said as he put his arm around me and bought me closer and kissed my forehead.
PABLO
We got to blaze's house in about 15 minutes. I looked through the mirror and they were snuggling. man what am I going to do
"babe, I love you okay? call me if anything and I'll be at yours okay? we're going to be fine" he said to her then kissed her before getting out of the car
"bye man," he said to me as he closed the door
I rolled my window down
"I'll keep you posted brah, inna bit," I said and he thanked me
