You sighed in content as you were showering. "Ah. Just what I needed. One of my favorite things about being back home." You said. "The tub is pretty great." Cana said. You smiled. "Yeah. It's the best." You said. Then you gasped as you saw Cana sitting in the same tub. "If you ever want a roommate, I wouldn't mind living here at all." She said. "It seems like your making yourself right at home to me!" You said. "You wouldn't happen to have any adult beverages hidden away in this place, would you?" Cana asked. "This is my house, you know!" You said. Cana sighed. "What's wrong? Is something bothering you?" You asked. "No, I'm ok. But I've got to ask, do you like, make a habit of bathing with other people?" Cana asked. "Do you make a habit of breaking into houses?" You asked. "Seriously. So how have things been going between you and your dad these days?" Cana asked. You gasped. "Oh, um... I... I don't know. Ok, I guess. But I actually haven't heard from him in a while." You said. Cana sighed again. "Seriously, what's wrong? You can tell me." You said. Cana stood up. "Alright then. I've been seriously considering quitting the guild." Cana said. "What?!" You asked.

"Can you believe that?! I mean, I thought Cana was in Fairy Tail for life. I tried to get her to tell me why, but she wouldn't say." You said. Mira only smiled. "I wouldn't worry about it. She always starts talking about quitting whenever this time of year rolls around." She said. "Say what? Oh no, is something bad going to happen?" Lucy asked. "Let's get to work, Happy!" Natsu said. "Aye!" Happy said. "Hey, if you're going on a job, take us with you!" You said. "It's solo mission season, sorry!" Natsu said running out. "We'll hang out with you two when we get back!" Happy said. Suddenly Natsu and Gray crashed into each other. "You better watch where you're going you pink haired freak!" Gray said. "And you better try to stay out of my way, grumpy panties!" Natsu said. "You guys really have time to stand around and argue?" Happy asked. 

"Yeah. Good point." Natsu and Gray said. "I'm back." Gray said as he walked up to Mira. "Forget your clothes again?" Mira asked. "No time to worry about it. I'm going to take this job, see ya." Gray said as he ran off. "Bye bye, good luck." Mira said. "He's on a solo gig too?" Lucy asked. Lucy yelped as Elfman came by. "This is a job for a real man." He said. "Alright, be careful out there." Mira said. "I'm gonna pull the trigger on this job over here, okay?" Alzack asked. "Got my sights on this one!" Bisca said. "I call dibs on that job!" Max said. "I'm sorry pal, but it's finders keepers!" Warren said. "The great and mighty Team Shadow Gear is splitting up for now!" Jet and Droy said. "Why is everyone going crazy?" You asked. "You'll find out soon enough!" Mira said. "I don't understand why so many people are freakin gung ho about going out on jobs. While everyone else is just goofing off." Lucy said. "It will all make sense to you tomorrow." Mira said.

"What's all the commotion about?" Lily asked. "Beats me." Gajeel said. "I think the master is going to tell us about something big happening." Wendy said. "Can't say I'm excited." Carla said. "What's he going to say?" The suspense is killing me." Alzack said nervously. "We worked our little tails off. Right? Don't worry." Bisca said. Natsu was looking around nervously. "Just calm down, Natsu. You've got this." Happy said. "The tension here is huge, very manly." Elfman said. "I'm dying to know what's going on." Lucy said. "This is so unbelievably exciting. Gray is almost within reach!" Juvia said. You sweat dropped. "Yeah, be still my heart." Lucy said sarcastically. suddenly the curtains opened, revealing the master, you, Mira and a few others on stage. "Here we go!" "Please don't make us wait any longer!" "Yeah, just tell us already!" "I'm still so lost. Tell us what now?" The Master cleared his throat. 

"In accordance with the Fairy Tail guild's time honored tradition, I will now announce this year's entrants for the S Class wizard promotion trial!" Makarov said. Everyone cheered. "This is why everyone's been acting crazy lately?!" Lucy asked. "I'm all fired up now!" Natsu said. "Please be quiet, everyone." Erza said. "Shut up and let the master finish talking." Gildarts said. "The trial this year will take place on Tenro Island. Our guild's sacred ground." Makarov said. "Do you guys know what he's going to make them do?" Lucy asked. "Well it's something different every year." Max said. "It's basically a seriously tough job." Warren said. "If you're able to pull it off, he'll turn you into an S Class wizard!" Alzack said. "The strength that you possess inside, your character, and your hearts. These are what I considered while making my selection. And I have chosen eight participants. Natsu Dragneel." Makarov said. "Thank you, sir." Natsu said. "You got this in the bag, buddy!" Happy said. "Gray Fullbuster." Makarov said. "It's finally my turn to move up." Gray said. "Juvia Loxar." Makarov said. "Really? The master chose me?" Juvia asked. "Elfman." Makarov said.
