Kazuha's POV

 Ugh...

 That was tiring.

 "Ugh."

 Damn it.

 I'm so dizzy.

 "Are you okay, Kazuha?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired."

That's why I was so surprised when I was pulled into his arms.

 "Kuni?"

"It's okay to rest a bit. You just fought the second of the elven harbingers after all."

 That...

 "Wouldn't that be eight now?"

 "Eight?"

"Signore died, this one is dead as well, and I doubt you still account as one."

"Pfft! Right eight. He would still be second though."

 "Not you?"

 If we look at strength...

"The ranking was based on seniority."

 Oh.

 "How dumb."

 "Yeah."

 I'm so tired.

I probably overextended myself big time.

Now I can only sense to about-

 !!

The same kind of aura as that time!

But this time, I wouldn't just take the hit!

I pulled Kuni out of the way and finally caught sight of the enemy.

 A mere fatui soldier, but...

 There is danger!

 But I noticed him sooner.

I can stop it this time!

Or he could have, had he not been so exhausted.

Having not only sensed but also seen the enemy, Kazuha in his usual state would have been more than strong enough to stop the bullet heading his way.

 Now, though...

 "Cough!"

 "Kazuha!"

It was a clean hit. Surprisingly enough, not to his heart.

"It's fine, Kuni. lady Kokomi can-"

His voice cut off as a strange power spread from the bullet.

 "Cough! Cough!"

Within mere seconds, the light within his eyes faded and his body went limp in Scaramouche's arms.

"Kazuha! No, no, no! This can't be happening!"

He was still breathing, but only barely.

Sacarmouche's power exploded along with his emotions, wiping out anything and everything within a 10-mile radius.

The two of them disappeared, soon reappearing at the shrine.

There the first one Scaramouche locked eyes with was none other than Raiden Ei who looked back at him in shock.

 The second one...

 "Save him."

 He told Kokomi.
