It had been atleast a full week since Y/N first arrived at the camp. Despite being injured recently, she usually heals quite quickly so she still tried her best to help around, usually with cleaning and weapon modifications. She practiced putting weight on her leg with the help of Soap and before she knew it she could walk just like normal again.

It was dark, and the stuffy air in the tent made it so it was nearly impossible to sleep, after a good few minutes of tossing and turning she gave up with the idea of sleep, even if she needed it, she groggily dragged herself out of the cot and slipped on a hoodie just incase. Quietly making her way past all the soldiers tents as she didn't want to wake anyone with her nightly torments, to be honest, they slept like logs, she couldn't wake them even if she tried.

Y/N was looking down at her feet wandering aimlessly around the outskirts of camp, she didn't even realise how far she walked until she looked up,the view was amazing, you could see the remote town a bit away, all lit up, buzzing with energy even with it being this late. The moon was up bright in the sky as the smell of fresh air fills her lungs.

It was nice.

No gunshots or eardeafening explosions, none of that terrible iron smell which only meant bad news, no yelling over comms, just a peaceful view and silence.

Moments like this is like her form of therapy.

Remembering not everything in the world is just war and pain.

That people have lives outside of this.

That she could have a life outside of this.

She turns around, ready to go back with a smile on her face.
