For as long as Jungkook could remember, he'd always been a burden to his father. He had always just been known as the reason for his mother's death and his dad hated him for it.
Everyone in town always talked about how amazing his mother was and how it was such a shame that she was gone now. How it was a shame that Jungkook was born because it was what took her away. Everyone knew about what had happened, it was a small town, people talked, and almost everyone knew his mother.
Jungkook was always an outcast in his hometown. Parents would look at him whispering
"Poor thing, Yuna's death really did a number on his dad"
At school, kids would call him names and were almost scared to talk to him out of fear that what happened to him might also happen to them. That was by no doubt the doings of their parents' gossip.
Jungkook was tired of this town. He wanted out. He wanted to go somewhere where no one knew who he or his mother was. He wanted to erase everything about himself and start afresh but 'if wishes were horses beggars would ride', He was stuck in Mandeok-dong Busan.
