Zircon: Woah, what happened here?
Returning from my patrol with Jacko, in front of me, a crater formed in one walls.
Jacko: I heard the same thing happen another nearby base. Do they have something against walls?
Protogen: More like an escape route. Witnesses say they saw them run out of there.
Zircon: Did anybody get hurt?
Protogen: 2 severely injured, it's a miracle they survived.
Jacko: *mumble* Those damn freaks...
Protogen. They went into the woods, hard to track them there.
Zircon: Did any human get caught?
Protogen: We managed to kill a human male adult. The ones who escaped were 2 teenage girls and another male adult.
Zircon: These attacks...are so sloppy, yet dangerous.
Protogen: Also, for you. You might not like this, but the window of your apartment has been shattered.
Zircon: WHAT!?
Without another word, I bolted into the base, and into my apartment.
Zircon: MATTHEW!?
No response. Please let him just be sleeping.
Not in the bed. Where? Wherewherewherewherewhere?
I looked everywhere. Closets, bathtub, cupboards, drawers, behind and under every piece of furniture.
He was not there. Where is he? WHERE DID HE GO?
Jacko: Zircon! Is your pet...
Zircon: Not here...Not here...
Jacko: Fuck...okay, first if all, you should calm down.
Zircon: WHERE ARE YOU!? WHO TOOK YOU!? WHICH BRAT TOOK YOU AWAY FROM ME!?
Jacko: Easy there, you should-
Zircon: WHO...WHERE...WHY...why...
He's gone. My beloved pet disappeared. What if he's in danger? What if he's hurt RIGHT NOW and I can't protect him!?
I feel something soft wrap around me. It took me a moment to see Jacko was hugging me.
Zircon: ...Ah...
Jacko: ...Feeling better?
Zircon: Y-Yeah, thanks...
He let me go, and I began to breathe steadily again.
Zircon: We have to find him, who knows if he...and that...and-
Jacko: One thing at a time, buddy. He's missing, but we can find him, I'm sure.
Zircon: Heh, we will. We must...I must...
Jacko: Hm, what if the intruders from earlier took him?
Zircon: Of course! If we find them, we can find my cutie patootie!
Jacko: That's...alright, so where to start...?
Zircon: What if we ask around? Some people might have clues on where they are.
Jacko: That's not a bad idea. But who should we ask?
Zircon: How about Maya? I'm sure she has something!
Jacko: How do you know?
Zircon: Maybe she had a run in with them? She's very good at taking down enemies, so she must have some idea where they could be.
