Life was normal. Key word, WAS. Alien creatures known as "protogen" invaded Earth, killing and capturing humans. As it turns out, a specific protogen has a special...purpose for a human.
Me, Kaya, and Tricky have reunited. We haven't found the other two people though...
Tricky: Still, it isn't half bad...
Kayla: Can we talk about something else? Did anyone find anything important?
Bryan: There are no exits to this place. Apparently, they want nobody getting out.
Kayla: W-What!? Why would they...!?
Bryan: They say it is so the protogen won't kill us. And, who could blame them. The destroyed the entire government in one fell swoop.
Kayla: So you're siding with them!?
Bryan: No, I'm just seeing it from their point of view. But we do have to tell them about Matthew.
Tricky: I heard that they are going to have a meeting, and you can say what you want. But it better be important. If you're messing around, they'll kick you out.
Kayla: Where'd you hear about this?
Tricky: I overheard it from some guy with a beard. That doesn't matter-the meeting is this afternoon.
Bryan: Convenient. So, we better get our story straight. We can't just go in blind, 'cause it's pretty strange to say someone got turned into a pet.
So, the whole time we discussed about how we'd explain Matthew's...situation.
Tricky: It's time, let's go.
Bryan: Oh no. Looks like it'll take a while.
We waited in line for about half an hour. The whole time a foul stench was coming from these people...and from is too. Come to think of it...we haven't taken a shower in weeks! We must be stanky!
We finally made it to the door. Kayla took the lead and opened it.
Inside, we saw...a living room? There was someone there. A person whom we've never seen before,

Kayla: Who are you?
Mitzu: My name is Mitzu. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Mitzu: What did you need to discuss about? Possible survivors? Resources?
Kayla: A prisoner.

Bryan: You see, the protogen have taken a prisoner, someone very close to us.
Mitzu: And why they keep him alive, instead of killing him like the rest?
Tricky: Because, and it may sound preposterous, they keep him as a pet.
