"I don't know why you kept that baby, nigga don't even wanna be apart of your life or that babies, just dumb," my mama spoke as I slowly started grabbing the rest of my baby shower stuff from her house.

I sighed deeply, she was right but I wanted my baby.

So fuck Ny'Karri.

"Why I gotta be dumb though?" She acting like my daddy stayed around or sum.

"Cause you are, getting pregnant and gon have to raise that baby by yourself. Its not the life that you should've wanted for yourself, simple."

"I got friends who's gon be there for me, cousin Sincere too. My baby girl gon have a village behind her," I spoke honestly.

My friends been supportive since I told them, I didn't need Ny'karri.

Neither did my baby.

"I will too, but you missing the point. Should've made smarter decisions. I wanted more for you," my mama looked at me with a frown on her face.

Obviously I did too, but shit sometimes life hit you with shit and its up to you to decide if you gon sink or swim, simple.

"I understand that, but shit happens and I didn't get an abortion so I'm gon do what I gotta do for me and mine." I expressed to her as I carried out my last 3 bags to the car.

"Alright Amani," she called me by my middle name.

"Bye mama," I walked up to her and she pulled me into a hug and kissed my cheek.

"I love yall both, and I'm here always," she expressed to me.

I nodded, I knew she was.

She was just rude sometimes, saying unnecessary shit.

"I love you too," I pulled out my keys and climbed into my truck before pulling off to my house.

I had 2 months left, and honestly I was ready to pop.

Baby girl's carseat was already assembled and everything; just had to put away and wash all this shit from the shower so I can finish organizing her room.

Pulling up to my house, I seen Karri's car parked outside.
