Chapter 2: Sudden Company

Warning!! Slight spoilers for the Sumeru archon quest!

" This is getting interesting..."

I placed the pen down and continue writing Scaramouche's story, I reached the part where they fight and Scaramouche falls from the robot, trying to catch the gnosis

"No! Please! Anything but the gnosis!" His voice breaks in desperation, "That's mine! Don't even try!" At this point, he was going insane, his voice cracking as he tried to control his desperate attempts at trying to take the gnosis back. "I'll never... Go back!" Just like that, he fell as Nahida and the traveler watched.

"I should have made them catch Scara since his fans would be mad"

That's when it hit me

"That's it! I can enter this scene and change their mind and convince them that he changes after this~!" That sounds weird coming from an author who gave every character severe trauma.

I took the pen once again and began writing, this would interrupt a lot but I don't care.

I take the pen and begin writing;

As he was falling, lights flashed and someone sprinted toward him to catch him. The woman catches him successfully and holds him in an embrace, Nahida and the traveler are shocked by the sudden action and rush toward the lady to confront her, she smiles at them, still holding the boy.

"I mean no harm since you guys weren't gonna catch him, I did it myself.", everyone was silent "Stranger danger! Traveler! This is another fatui scum! and she's been spying on us!" A loud voice interrupts the lady, "Paimon, please calm down" The traveler tries to calm down their traveling partner

"You know, you should buy a leash for that thing" I point at paimon, I am the one who wrote this story so I am well aware of how she will react. Which is why; I decided to tease her. She started to whine and complain while the traveler and Nahida question me, I calmly answer their questions while the boy is still in my arms, I look down at him and he has his eyes slightly open

I excuse myself and walk to the side to talk to him, I finally get to talk to my favorite character that I've written! "How did you get in here?" he asked, "What are you talking about?" He gave me an annoyed look and everything went black.

no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO.

Why did I get transferred back here when I was about to talk to him?! Ugh. This world is so cruel,
"Right as it got interesting, it ended" I whined as I bang my head on my work desk out of frustration.

I don't know how I fell asleep after that

I woke up at my work desk, I checked my phone for the time "5:46 am" I sigh and put my phone down, I look over to the draft I wrote and realized what I wrote last night was missing.
"Great. The day JUST started and it's already going bad."

I pick up the same pen I used yesterday and wrote down the same things again

I looked at him in confusion, does he know that I wrote him?

Does he know that he doesn't exist? If so, how? "I'm waiting for my answer." He tapped his feet on the floor out of annoyance, "I.. Don't understand, sorry! Ahah!" I tried to change the subject but he just grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer.

This is not what I wrote, he's not supposed to know. I made sure to note that down.

I looked into his eyes, his eyes were almost dead as if he had no hope for anything, almost as if he was tired of living. Is this the back story I wrote? I brushed a lock of hair back to see his face properly, he had a soft expression.

He looked so fragile, so beautiful, almost as if he would break down any moment. I stared into his eyes and found myself getting lost in them. He smiled at me and said something I dreaded to hear;

"I know that you wrote this story and this isn't supposed to happen"
