"your presence is what made me
forget about all of those memories, they've been haunting me for years."

He looked at me, his focus was on my story.

"I still remember, the story I wrote about this..." I paused, "Wanna read it?" He nodded and I handed him my diary

As she walked in, I felt my heart drop. I adore her, she's an extraordinary friend. But the way he glimpsed at her, the way he reddens whenever she walks by had me feel miserable. I don't feel any pain but I just feel like I might end up sobbing, he was giggling, smiling... But at her, not me

Oh, the way I wish I was her, purely due to the fact he loves her.

He is like the moon, such a beauty, all alone.
She is like the sun, so bright, yet so far.

He'll never figure out how far she is from him, but there's one out there;

Wishing on every shooting star, every 11:11, every angel number, for him to be hers, yet he's chasing the one who will never be his.

She isn't a fan of love stories, but she wants him to be her one and only;

I still remember the fact he smiled when she walked into the class, she didn't even look at him. She ignored him, she despises him. Even his friends try to tell him that, but he never pays attention to any of the warning signs.

We are not similar, she and I, we never will be identical. She cries over boys who broke her heart, while I, don't cry for him. Even though he's truly the only one I wanted to call;

  "The love of my life"

Quite cliche, actually. I have never felt this way, almost as if it's my fault for falling for him, knowing that he has his eyes on her.
Hopefully, he'll see her true colors.

"You're pretty distracted today" I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Am I though? I'm always distracted when she is near." I let out a sigh. "Is it about him again?"

"What do you think? Take a wild fucking guess"

My now ex-bsf sighed, she used to be my ride-or-die back then sat down beside me, she was the one who told me about his crush.

"Why is that girl your ex-best friend?"

I paused for a second.

"Well, we were great friends until she started to make offensive jokes and when I got mad about them or told her to not do such, she told me to not sit with her if I'm so serious all the time. And then one time I kinda used the same words back on her, ones that hurt, and she refused to talk to me;

So I switched seats and kinda cried about it to my other friends while my friend who sat with her told me the shit she threw on my name in one day of not talking."

"What's your Ex best friend's name again?"

"Hailey, why?"

"Need to speak with her sometime."

I ignored his words, not taking them seriously.
