"So how things been?" I ask Jade
"They've been way better. I'm ready to get out and start a new life! I'm so appreciative of Chanel for bringing me here though. It has helped a lot... speaking of Chanel, how is she?" She asks smiling
I was stuck, I didn't know what to say to make anything better. " She's well, I can definitely bring her tomorrow when I come. I'm sure she wants to speak with you about things." I said sugar coating the fact that my best friend is damn near in a relationship and has completed moved on.
We finished up our conversation and then it was time for me to go. It's almost time for Jade to get out and I honestly am concerned. She's probably going to take things with Miracle and Nu hard. She knows Nu is talking to other people of course but I don't think she understand how serious it has gotten.
I call Chanel to tell her about everything.
" Hi, bestie babyyyy. What you up to? " I ask
" Hii, nothing just left the mall. Me and Miracle going out tonight so I needed something new." She said smiling big as ever, I'm so happy for her
" I'm pulling up in 5, open the door because I left my key at home." I said hanging up after I said that
I drove to her house after stopping for raising canes for both of us. Glad miracle isn't around right now because I really need to talk to her.
"Honeyyy i'm homeee" I yell walking thru the door
"Hii, I missed you and you bought food! You know me so well" she say running up and hugging me
"Yes I've missed you more baby! You been on wifey duties and shit. I feel lonely as hell without my best bitch these days!" I say sitting down
"Sorry for being distant , Me and Miracle just had to work some things out! So what's new?" She says
"Nothing much girl, besides I been visiting Jade lately." I say, her eyes widen like she had seen a ghost
"Jade?? For what Tiff?" She ask
"You know as well as I do that she's getting out of rehab soon... I don't know what she expects when she gets out. I told her that you were coming with me tomorrow. She feels like she doesn't have anybody since being in there and honestly bestie she needs a little support I guess idk. That doesn't mean y'all have to get back together or anything but you know ... friends I guess? She asks about you often." I say trying to be honest with her
"Yeah I understand that but Tiffie you know I have a whole new life now. I don't feel bad for moving on! I don't know how she will handle the whole friend thing.. you know she's a hot head and I don't want her to do anything that's going to mess up her progress she's been making. Yeah I don't go up there and visit her as often as I should. I still call that damn rehab center every week to ask about her and about her getting better. I'm just afraid that if we talk things won't end well man." Nu says
"Well the only thing we can do is take it one step at a time and just get be there for her. I know you better than anyone else in this world and I know this eats you up. We gon get thru this together and go up there tomorrow. What happens happens and it's better to do something rather then wait all this shit out." I say
"Your the best bff ever. I appreciate you so much tiffie, and thank you for checking on her for me." She says hugging me tight
"I love you more Nu. You know I got you forever!" I say smiling
"Now, what are we going to do bout Rich and this baby situation?! The og 3/3 need to go on a date and talk because excuse tf out of me?? He been hella m.i.a and that's the most social me I know" She say laughing
