"What the hell happened?!" I asked, looking at Tracer as she told me the events of what happened before she got me.

"We have no idea how this happened other than," Tracer sighed as she realized the situation. "Talon."

"Talon?"

"Yes. They're a terrorist group. One of their members was the reason an omnic monk is dead and why we were recalled other than the omnic crisis."

"I see."

"We've seen this before, well, we put two and two together when Widowmaker killed her husband and Talon targeted her husband and her."

"Why would they target Odessa?"

"Maybe because she can do a number on us," she said.

"Who is alive? Please tell me she didn't kill anyone."

"No one is dead, yet. Mercy, Kiriko, and Brigitte are making sure no one dies on us. Winston and Reinhardt are the ones who are trying to put a stop to the rampage she's creating, but nothing is working."

"So ya think I can stop her?"

"You're our only hope to rescue her from the brainwashing Talon did on her."

"The brainwashing, is there a way to reverse it?"

"There are ways, but one step is to be surrounded by trusted people. And right now, you're the only one we can trust to bring the calm to the storm."

"I will certainly try my best, but I'm going up against who knows how long they brain washed her. I might not be able to break her."

"Things can always be broken, it's a matter of fixing it."

We reached the base and once the door opened up, Tracer and I ran out and into the base to see everyone was on the ground. Blood was everywhere and it was mostly on Odessa. She turned her head to see Tracer was still alive. Rushing towards her, I pulled out my swords and blocked her axe from making contact with her.

"Why are you helping her?" Odessa asked, not realizing it was me.

"Tracer, get to somewhere safe. I can handle 'er."

"Are you sure, Y/N?"

"Just go! Get everyone out of here and to safety!"

"I'm counting on you to come back."

"I will do my best."

Tracer zipped around and picked up everyone she could and fled to the hovercraft. Odessa tried to make her way past me, but I grabbed my other sword and used the hilt to slash across her face, causing her to stumble. I just needed to get her away from the others. That's all I needed to do. I kept pushing her back to where her back was against the glass window. Running towards her, I kicked her through the glass and we landed on a balcony, where rain started to fall. Dark clouds took away the natural light, leaving only our instincts and the inconsistent flashes of lightning occuring to lead us.

First things first, I needed to get off the balcony or else I'd be dead. Fighting her in narrow spaces was hell especially with her axe and knife. Which I needed to evade since she was swinging it now. I jumped up, grabbing onto the ladder that led to the rooftop. Climbing up it, Odessa threw her knife, which missed me by a few inches. Getting onto the roof, Odessa wasn't far behind and that was when I dropped my hilts, connecting the two blades together.

"Odessa, if you're in there, I need to know," I said, slowly backing away from her.

A lightning flash came and I could see the look on her face only for a quick second. She looked conflicted with what she was doing.

"If you're conscious of what you're doing, put your weapons down and we can talk about this. We can get you help. I don't want to fight ya. That's the last thing I need right now."

"H-How do I know ya won't hurt me?"

"We've been friends for a very long time, Odessa," I said, slowly walking towards her, lowering my swords. "We were friends and then we became lovers. After that," I looked at the rings on my finger before looking into her eyes, another flash of lightning occuring. "We became one."

"I-I-Is it real? The love ya have for me?"

I let out a sigh, "I don't know what Talon did to ya, but they really messed with your head, didn't they?"

"I-I don't know anymore," she said, clenching her jaw and clutching her head with her free hand. "E-E-Everything is buzzing and it's painful. A-As if someone is pounding against my skull."

"Odessa, let me help you," I said, being a few inches away from her, slowly reaching out to her.

"G-Get away," she pushed me away. "I-I-I don't want to hurt ya. E-Even if I can't remember much, I don't want to hurt the person ya claim to be towards me."

"Dez," I whispered, getting closer to her now, placing a hand on her cheek.

She pushed me away once more and raised her gun, pointing it at my forehead.

"P-Please," she whimpered, her hand shaking as she held up her gun. "Please, rescue me."

"Dez," I grabbed the barrel of the gun and pushing it aside to where she dropped it, a loud clunking sound as it came into contact with the metal rooftop.

"I am here to rescue ya," I said and was a few inches away from her once more, placing my hand on her cheek.

She leaned into my touch, her eyes closing and the expression on her face softening.

"What are you doing?" I heard someone speak, but as I looked around, no one was up here with us.

"Finish the job."

"I'm sorry," Odessa whispered as she pulled out Gracie, thrusting it into the side of my stomach.

I gritted my teeth, trying so hard not to scream in pain, "I-I'm sorry, too."

I raised the hilt of my sword and bashed it across her head. Before she fell onto the ground, I removed the earpiece that was on the side of her head and put it in my pocket. She fell onto the rooftop and I was slowly falling towards the edge. With the rain, it made it even more slippery. I fell down, slipping on the metal and I tried to grab onto the edge, but it was pointless. I fell onto the balcony and the blade of the knife shifted, making everything worse as I let out a yell in pain. Another flash of lighting came and thunder followed, rumbling everything around me to the point where that was the last thing I heard before blacking out.
