Grabbing the glass that was put down in front of me, I took a sip as I scanned the room we were in. It was date night tonight with Y/N and she insisted we come to this club that was near where we lived. Apparently it was new and was in need of support. So when everyone heard I was going to be here tonight, most of the city flocked here, giving the owner a great start to his business. He was thankful for drawing in the attention, even though I was just here with Y/N and wasn't doing a special thing for it.

The music was loud and the lights were dimmer than the normal place we went to. Although it was a club and they're not meant to have bright lights aside from the LEDs and neon signs in here that hurt to look at every other second. The one thing that drew Y/N here was the karaoke night they were doing tonight, as well as the huge dance floor she tried to drag me on. I wasn't feeling it tonight. Actually, I was hoping for a more calmer and quieter date night with her tonight, but she insisted we come here. I couldn't deny her, as I was the one who chose what we did for date night two weeks ago. And we always took turns choosing what we did. She also knew I was having a rough day and was a bit irritable. So she was keeping her distance from me while still trying to have fun. I should join her, but I just wanted to drink for a bit before I headed onto that dance floor.

However, there was someone who was staring at Y/N. I locked in on who they were and immediately watched him. He was gawking at her and not in the way I do. Sure I stare at her whenever she's getting ready or talking, but that is because I am admiring everything about her. He is just admiring her chest and ass. The guys he was with started talking and poking at his side with their elbows. Grabbing the collar of his jacket, he flicked it upwards before rolling back his shoulders, sauntering over towards Y/N. I set my drink down and made a beeline to him. He didn't even get two feet from her before I put myself in between them.

"Dez!" she smiled and stood beside me. "E-Everythin' ok, love?"

I tilted my head upwards and glared down at the guy, my lip pulling back into a snarl. My arms were crossed over my chest. I puffed my chest out a bit, trying to do anything to indimiate him more than I already intimidate others here in this city.

"Y-Your majesty," the man said. "I-I apologize."

"Tryin' to make a move on my girl?"

"W-What? N-No, no, I-I would never think of doin' that."

"I just saw ya starin' at 'er. And not in the starin' in awe kind of look. Nah, you were starin' at 'er with lust."

"I-I apologize, your majesty. I-It won't happen again."

"It better not."

He turned and walked off, his friends laughing at him. I turned around and found Y/N staring up at me. It wasn't a happy stare, more of a glare.

"What?" I asked.

"Ya always assume the worst of people whenever they come towards me," she said.

I let out a sigh, not wanting to get angry in front of not only her, but in front of everyone here.

"I am just lookin' out for ya, Y/N."

"Ya don't need to look after me like I am a child, Dez."

"Frankly, Y/N, you're built like one."

"No I'm not."

"Uh-huh," I looked her up and down.

"Just because I am not seven feet tall and built like a tank, like you, does not mean I am helpless."

"Whatever ya say, Y/N," I sighed once more and walked off, shaking my head.

I leaned against the bar, watching her continue to have fun. I kept an eye on the guy as he was talking with his friends. All of them turned in my direction and I stared them down. I raised my hand and flipped them off, causing them to turn away from me. I chuckled to myself, taking a sip of what I was drinking, still monitoring them and their movements. They were planning something as they were huddled around like they were going over a gameplan. I took a long swig of my drink before heading towards Y/N. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she turned and did not look happy with me.
