A/N: I had more ideas for this one shot so I decided to separate it into two parts. Hope you all enjoy!

I stood in front of the building I saw the Queen in the other day. Today was when she was going to make her public appearance. Thinking back on the conversation we had the other day, I knew she wasn't going to be gutsy enough to reveal her actual self and just stick to what she knows. Everyone from the town was here now and I looked around, trying to see if I could find the Queen in this mass of people. She said she was just a face in the crowd, but since I saw her, I knew what she looked like. Someone parted the crowd and was walking towards the back. They made their way past me, but I grabbed the back of their shirt and pulled them forward.

"What the hell are ya doin'?" she sneered.

I leaned down and got close to her, "Why don't ya show 'em who ya truly are? Ever think about that?"

"I am not in the mood to do this, Odessa."

"Oh, so you know my name?"

"I do."

"And I can't learn yours?"

"Y/N."

"Nice to meet ya," I said and reached down, grabbing her hand. "Now why don't ya inform everyone who ya are and we can get this show on the road."

"Why can't ya let me have this?"

"What do ya mean?"

"I'll tell ya later. Just let me get through with this."

"Fine," I said and stood up, allowing her to walk past me and further into the crowd.

Coming out of the building was the woman who played the role and she greeted the crowd, talking to them in a manner that sounded as if it was scripted. Finding Y/N in the swarm of people, I took note of her mouth moving as she was repeating every word the woman was saying. So it was scripted. And she was making sure that everything went according to plan. For her sake, everything did. When the people were satisfied with the appearance, they went on with their day. Waiting until everyone dispersed, Y/N headed back into the building with the woman and I followed after. There was still a bit of crowd left and if I wanted to do this, I had to do it now. Y/N would kill me, but I didn't care. I wanted her to be her true self. Grabbing her wrist as she entered the building, she turned and the tip of the knife from the other day was right by my neck. I had to move my head back a bit to avoid getting nicked.

"Don't ya dare do anythin'," she sneered.

I released my hold on her wrist and raised my hands up, "I just want to talk to ya."

"Get in 'ere," she said as we walked into the building, her leading me to a different room that wasn't the throne room.

It was her personal quarters. Should I even be in here? As soon as she entered, she threw the knife into the wall where there were countless other ones. Right by the door were her swords and there were things littering the floor to where I thought I was going to trip over it. Her bed was a mess and as I walked towards her dresser, there were many capsules and perscription bottles littering the space. The same could be said with her bedside table. There were countless bottles and empty plastic water bottles in the area.

"Mind the mess," she sighed.

"I am certainly minding," I said.

She stepped into the bathroom and opened up a cabinet. I watched carefully through her dresser mirror as she opened another bottle and poured two little pills onto her palm. She popped them in her mouth followed by a swig from another plastic water bottle. Setting it down, she walked out of the bathroom and walked in my vicinity.

"Me killing Mason, wasn't what I was supposed to do."

"What do ya mean?"

She sat on the edge of the bed and I sat beside her.

"I was an assassin. I was paid to kill him from the woman who plays the role as Queen. But since I technically took the crown from his head, I am therefore the Queen of Junkertown. I don't want to be so I gave her the role. I do the behind the scenes work while she performs them. She knows how to handle the public well to where she doesn't need me. It's speaking and actually knowing outside issues where she needs me. Call it as work partners, but killing Mason tipped me over the edge."

"As in?"

"I never want to kill another person the way I did with him. And she requested I decapitated him AFTER I tortured him with my blades. The way I drove into his skin and stabbed him here and there. I scratched and sliced his body parts off and then finished him off with killing him. The reason she couldn't do it was because Mason knew she was after him. But he didn't know an assassin would take his life. I've taken many lives before," tears filled her eyes and her voice cracked. "But never in the way I did with Mason."

"Hey, hey," I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"And after I did that, I-I've been kept awake at night with nightmares and regret filling my heart with what I did. I remember everyone I killed and they haunt me to this day too."

Now I know the reason behind why she doesn't want to show her face. Show the real person who killed Mason. Letting out a sigh, I scooped her up as tears slid down her face. Placing her in my lap, I wrapped my arms around her. Hers immediately wrapped around my neck and she buried her face in the crook of my neck.

"I understand," I whispered. "I apologize for trying to force you into a position you don't want to be in."

"T-Thank you," she breathed out, her crying still hasn't ceased.

I moved to where I was resting against the headboard of the bed and she curled even further in my arms.

"O-Odessa?"

"Yes, Y/N?"

"D-Do ya mind stayin' for a while?"

"Oh, Y/N," I reached over and placed her hand underneath her chin, making her look up at me. "I'll stay as long as ya need me for."

"Thank you," she hugged me tightly and leaned up, placing a kiss to my cheek. "You're really warm. And comforting. Has anyone ever told ya that?"

I chuckled, looking down at her, "You're the first, actually."

"Do ya mind if I can be the last person to say it?"

A soft expression formed on my face as I leaned down and placed a light kiss to her lips, "I'll let ya say it all ya want, Y/N."

A look of relief formed as her eyes closed and a small smile stretched out her lips.

"Thank you."

"I've got ya, my queen," I said and held her close to me.
