"What's up BusBuddy," Lee smirks maliciously as he glides into the chair beside me, I ignore him and focus on the music playing in my headphones as I turn to stare out the window.
My peace doesn't last long as I feel the weight on my scalp disappear and a gasp from a very obnoxious boy beside me as he slides my headphones over his head.
"No fucking way... you listen to Slipknot!" A wide smile graces Lee's face and it takes an obscene amount of effort to prevent my own lips from turning up at the utter joy Lee is projecting.
"Well I do have taste," I muse, still suppressing my expression into a bored look. Lee does an overly exaggerated up-and-down glance of my body and hums in mock disappointment as he removes my headphones.
"Your choice in clothing says otherwise," he says matter-of-factly. He just had to choose the day when my current outfit is terrible! The only clean, wearable clothes that drew my attention were a pair of black sweatpants and a faded Green Day t-shirt, but I promise it's just because I packed all of my fashionable attire. However, no matter how correct Lee might have been in his analysis I refused to give him the pleasure of my agreement.
"Oh, bite me Lee." I scoff with an eye roll.
"Looks like music taste isn't the only thing we share, because I'd love to." Lee speaks in a flirtatious manner and with a piercing gaze that, while nice on someone else, is definitely not attractive on Lee.
"Shut up before I gag you with a smelly gym sock," I bite back humorlessly.
"Woah calm down, I may have confirmed the sick and twisted fantasies you had of me at night but we're in public! And amongst our fellow soccer teammates!" Lee mocks me again and I almost laughed at his ridiculous joke, however embarrassment overtook me instead once I noticed a few curious glances from our teammates who were close enough to overhear.
So instead of replying, I simply snatch my headphones back from Lee and once again turn away from him, shoving my headphones back on my head.
I also skipped the Slipknot song that I had been playing, no longer being able to listen to my favourite metal band without thinking about Lee and his stupid sappy smile!
"We are stopping in ten minutes to eat lunch while the bus driver takes a short break and refills the petrol tank!" Coach bellows out from the front row and relieved sighs ring out across the bus. We'd already been on the road for five hours and it seems everyone's snacks had lasted for a lot less time than they'd expected.
I hear shuffling beside me and turn to see Lee getting up and out of his seat.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to the bathroom, why?" Lee says like I'm the dumb one.
"Coach just said we are getting to a stop, can't wait ten minutes?" I tease.
"Oh I definitely could, but everyone else on this bus will want to use the bathroom once we get there and I'm not planning on wasting ten minutes of our stopover waiting in line for the bathroom. Especially not when I could take the opportunity to be first in line at whichever fast food place I choose to order from." Lee whispers with a wink and with nothing else to say I just nod and focus on the game of 8-ball pool I'm playing on my phone.
Not even thirty seconds after Lee leaves for the bathroom I begin to feel obnoxious kicking behind my back, I choose to ignore it hoping my lack of response will cease the annoyance. My limit is reached when the chair starts vibrating so violently that my finger slips on the screen and makes my shot miss and sink the white ball in one of the left corners of my screen.
I turn around quickly and shoot my head over the back of my seat to glare at the culprits. "What the fuck do you think you're doing," I hiss at the demon duo who are grinning devilishly back at me.
"We have no clue what you are talking about!" Kai whines.
"Yeah! We are just innocently playing a game of Go Fish!" Eren says as he places an ace of spades on the pile in front of them.
Not having enough energy to be bothered with dealing with them, I put my things down on my seat as I stood up and headed towards the small staircase at the front of the bus.

As I peacefully go to wipe my ass the door suddenly swings open and I violently throw myself towards the door to stop the sudden intrusion. I see a shadow quickly shuffle back through the small crack of the door as I yell, "Occupied!"
"Oh shit sorry!" Sparky mutters panicked and I almost laughed at the utter ridiculousness of the situation.
"It's fine, not your fault, the lock is broken. I'm just finishing up so if you wait I'll be out of your way in a sec," I say with a breathy chuckle.
"Uh, okay."
I flush and wash my hands before slowly cracking the door open and peeking out the gap to make sure I'm not about to smack Sparky square in the face with the door. When I confirm that the danger zone is clear, I open the door fully and try to awkwardly squeeze past Sparky in the small space.
Our chests are pressed against each other as we exchange an awkward but weirdly heated stare, we both try to push past at the same time while only results in us butting shoulders and our hands touching, a weird electrical feeling shoots up my spine at the contact.
"Sorry," I mumble as I try to wiggle my way free while he stands still. He awkwardly coughs and looks at me weirdly, I pause, taking a second to figure out the reason for the look. When I can't figure it out, I give up and resume shimming my way out. I feel him grip my arms with slight panic in his eyes and I freeze, finally realising what I'm doing when I feel something oddly stiff poking against my inner thigh.
My eyes widen and I look up at Sparky, his breathing heavy and his eyebrows creased, "Please, stop." He croaks out before coughing slightly to remove the crack from his voice, "I need you to stop."
He doesn't need to say it again because I'm standing completely still, as I have been since I realised exactly what I was doing. We are both silent, stuck in our own little world, trying to figure out what the fuck is going on and where to go from here.
I'm about to mutter another apology and step away so he can clear the corridor and allow me to pass when a loud sneeze echoes above us and we both look up to see the coach sitting in his chair right beside the railing for the stairs. We immediately spring into action, jolting apart and hiding away in our respective areas. Me to my seat and Sparky to the bathroom stall.
Sparky comes out of the bathroom a few minutes later with an embarrassed frown on his face. He is about to shuffle over me and into his seat when the coach announces our arrival at the stopover and Sparky freezes with his ass in my face. Great timing, honestly could this drive get any more awkward.
Sparky is the first off the bus as he practically sprints for an exit, I decide to take my time exiting, hoping to put some space between Sparky and I.
Here's the update as promised, I'm so sorry for the delay I've been in Melbourne visiting family without a laptop :,(
As I said in my notice, this update will not count as the usual Wednesday update so look forward to that in two days from now.
I hope you guys like this chapter, it got a little steamy at the end there-
QOTD: Who are you more like, Raven or Robyn?
I think I'm a mix of both tbh, that tends to happen when I'm writing I put a smidgen of myself into every character, I think it makes it easier for me to write developed characters instead of boring, flat, one-dimensional characters.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IT HELPS A LOT!! THE LITTLE STAR IN THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE SCREEN IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW (I've had a few people ask)
