Third person POV.

"Not bad, not bad forest boy," replied  Aonung.

Neteyam couldn't help but feel mad at the nickname. It felt insulting,

"Can you stop calling me that, I have a name, you know," said Neteyam, furrowing  his brows in displeasure.

Aonung saw the  expression Neteyam made and chuckled,

"Come on, i can't help it. Your Na'vi from the Forest and you're a boy , Forest , Boy. Suiting," said Aonung. Neteyam, annoyed by the remark, looked away from the teal Na'vi and started fumbling with the crossbow, ignoring Aonung,

"Should we start ?" he asked.

" Yeah fore-" Aonung was cut off when Neteyam glanced at him looking mad even though he tried to mask it Aonung could see his expression slipping, the lean Na'vi then looked back at the crossbow.  The sight made Aonung freeze, not in fear, but in fascination. The Teal Na'vi has only seen several expression on Neteyams face a smiling one, a kind expression, a annoyed one, a playful one, but this madden expression is new, and for a fleeting moment he felt a thump in his chest. It's not like he is  watching the Lean Na'vi all the time. He is just very observant. Thou it seemed longer than  minutes he was stuck in thought, the Na'vi just experienced this in mere seconds. He shook his head to focus on the matter at hand,

"OK, OK, i won't call you by that nickname, and you're doing it wrong. The crossbow is used underwater, not out here. You also have to learn fish calling first, come," Aonung said to escape the situation. They both went back to the shore and sat on the sand, Aonung then started teaching the lean Na'vi fish calling. He explained how the sound is made by imitating a heartbeat sound using the throat,

"Here," gestured Aonung to his throat,

" Not here but here," Aonung gestured to his neck and then to base of his jaw because he could hear Neteyam making clicking sounds with his tongue while closing his mouth. Neteyam seemed to have gotten a grip of it after the more specific instruction, and they continued with the lesson.

After that, the two silently went into the waters for the fish catching practice. At first, the lean Na'vi was struggling. Thou he was good at calling fishes, the problem lay in the way he shot the crossbow. Neteyam thought that it would be similar to shooting in air as it is in water, but to his surprise, the recoil of the shot in water was harder to control. With each shot, the recoil would divert the arrow to the wrong direction pissing off the Na'vi. Aonung had had enough of his foolishness because he left Na'vi to do his own thing after what happened now he needed to teach him.

Aonung swam closer to Neteyam and tapped his shoulder, Neteyam looked at him. He then gestured for Neteyam to take a stance in shooting. He studied the Neteyams form and noticed that his elbow was slightly bent,

'What's with you forest Na'vis and bending joints at the wrong time. Stop doing that. It'll make you miss shots,' signed Aonung.

He then went on and pushed his elbow straight and also signed for him to strengthen his arm. Aonung didn't pay mind to how close they were, but Neteyam was, and he felt his heartbeat racing, causing him to resurface for air and return. He then retook his stance and gestured Aonung to keep some distance, and he just rolled his eyes but listened anyway,

'Now call the fish. Remember straighten your arm,' Aonung signed, reminding him one last time.

Neteyam did as he was told and followed through with the advice. They both waited for the fish to get closer. As a small school fishes came near Neteyam, he chose his target and took a steady aim, then he straightened his arm and pulled the trigger. Just as Aonung expected, Neteyam finally got a catch, the said said Na'vi swam to his catch and swam back with happy expression showing his catch.
