Chapter 8: The call

Claire's POV:

After that mission, we learned that motherf*cker is coming back. " I hate that bitch, " I said as I was driving the car. I continued driving down the road, " You really hate Evan that much, " Alex said out of the blue. " Yes, I do, Alex because he is a double crossing motherf*cker bastard who tried to hurt my friend. Plus, and he tried to kill us and he experimented on us, " I said, as I named the list what Evan did to us. Then I got a phone call from my phone. I answered it, I put it on speaker. 

Fable: " Hello Claire, are you there? "

Claire: " Yeah, I am here. We just finished up a mission over at outskirts."

Fable: " We have a problem, Evan is back. Plus, he tried to capture Gregory and Prim. Also, Evan went into Gregory's mind, then chase him down. But we don't know what to do."

Claire: " What!?!?!!? That's bastard tried to what?"

Fable: " Evan was trying to find Gregory and Prim's location. But Gregory didn't tell him, though. Evan is the one who was behind all the murders all over town."

Claire: " Okay, we need to figure out how to stop him. Did Gregory use the poison to kill Evan? Because the poison was the only thing that can kill vamp-lusts."

Fable: " I will ask to Gregory, hang on."

I waited for answer about if Gregory use the poison to kill Evan six year ago.

Fable: " He didn't use the poison."

I sighed, I knew something was going on in the town.

Claire: " Okay, we need to figure out why is Evan doing this?"

Fable: " We been researching that, and we found out that he is going to killing the mages and former vampires who worked for him.

Claire: " So, you want us to go to your house?"

Fable: " Yes, please we need your help. We need to bring the gang to stop Evan this again! But bye for now, I don't want you guys to crash."

Then she hung up, " We are Rose-Afton's siblings' and Fable's house, " I said, and I turned the car around to the direction of their house. 

After 45 minutes of driving, I parked in their driveway. We got out of the car, and I knocked on the door. We waited for them to answer, then Eliza opened. Then she gestured us in the house, we saw the others on the couches. " Hey guys, " I said in blank tone, and I saw Gregory looked stress out. Prim was trying to keep Gregory calm, " So, what happened? " I asked to everyone. Then Gregory started to explain, " Claire, he's back and he will not stop until he gets his hands on me and Prim.."

After 1 hour and 30 minutes, I was even more mad at Evan. " That son of a bitch is going to pay what he did to our kind, I will shove garlic bread down his f*cking throat, " I yelled with mad tone. " Calm down, Claire. Okay, we will let you shove garlic bread down his throat. But let's hope you don't die trying, " Gregory said as he was covering Prim's ears, I was okay with that.

Fable's POV:

We need to protect Gregory and Prim. I know how much I hated Evan so much. But I think he is being control by the heartless souls, but Gregory doesn't believe he is controlled. The rumor might be true after all. I tried to remember Alexander's eyes color, they were silver-blue. But then, his eyes turned red when he is like..... control.

I was in research room, and the others were talking. I started to think what if the rumor is true. I remember when I was dating Evan back then, because I wanted to find out if he was the one who was doing the plans to kill the mages back then. His eyes were emerald green, then when he was with Gregory, his eyes turned red when he was mad or something.

I think I am onto something, I went to the other room. " Guys, I think I am onto something, " I said, and everyone looked at me. " What do you mean you are onto something? " Claire asked, " I think I know why Evan wants to kill the mages. He never wanted to, he was always control, " I answered, and everyone gasped in shocked.

" What makes you think that? " Gregory asked, " Well, remember Alexander, his eyes were silver-blue before they turned red. Then there is Evan, his eyes were emerald green before they turned red as well, " I answered, and Gregory was shocked. " I started to notice the same thing too, " he said, and he look like he was going to black out again.

" Guys, I don't feel well. My head's hurts, " he whimpered, and I knew this bad. " Evan is trying to communicate with Gregory again. We need to stop it, " I explained to everyone, and I went to Gregory. " Just calm down, you need to block him out, okay, " I told him. " I will tried, I haven't block anyone in a while, " he said, and he took a deep breath. As he was calming down, he need to block Evan out of his mind. I done this before when Evan tried to get into my head, " Okay, you need to think of a wall in your head. Then there is a door on it, and it's locked. And you are the only one who can opened it, no one else, " I instructed Gregory, and I hope this works.

Gregory's POV:

I did what Fable, I thought of a wall through the pain in my head. I thought a door, and I made sure it was locked. I felt the pain go away very slowly, " Okay, the pain is going away, " I said, and Fable nodded. I stayed calm, and then all the pain is gone.

" It's gone, " I said, " So Evan won't enter your mind anymore, " Fable said with calm tone. Then Prim looked at me, " Mom, " she said, " Yes, Prim, " I said. " Is dad going to find us? " She asked with scared tone, and I looked at her. She was scared, and I felt her fear of Evan. " No, he's not going to get me or you. But if he does find us, I want you to go to Claire or Fable or my older siblings. I won't let him have you, " I assured her, and she nodded with a smile. I looked at the others, " If Evan ever find us, I want you guys to protect Prim for me, " I said, they nodded.

" We will protect Prim for you, and make sure Evan doesn't get his hands on Prim, " Eliza said with smile, and I smiled back. " Thank you!"
