Sienna
Things had been going differently than I had originally prepared myself for...
It was Zedlin and it always led back to him. I honestly didn't know why I thought I could ever win against him, because he was always a lot and I was always infatuated with him.
Sickening.
"You're not even listening... wait, is this what it's like to be tuned out? Well, shít," I heard Zedlin mumble out loud.
When I finally pulled myself out of my mind and looked over at him, his eyebrows were furrowed tightly and his lips were in a straight line. Beside his head, I noticed the show we were watching was paused and he was solely focused on me.
I couldn't help but laugh.
He didn't like to be ignored.
"Sorry, babe. I was distracted in my head, but my thoughts were still about you, so relax!" I said exasperatedly, pulling his hands from his lap and using them to guide him closer to me onto the couch.
When he was within reach, I snaked my hands around his neck and smashed my lips against his — and it completely threw him off guard.
"Damn, woman! Unhand me, what the fùck?" He muttered with a look of false disgust on his face, then having the audacity to turn it away from me.
Dramatic asshole.
"Do I have to take advantage of you?" I playfully asked, clamping my fingers onto his neck this time and yanking him into me even more.
Now Zedlin was being playful as he grabbed at my hands and tried to pry them from his skin.
His silver pools shimmered at me mischievously, "You think you can just have your way with me, woman? How cocky of you."
"Oh, I know I could," I giggled loudly and then attempted to climb on top of him. I tried holding in my shrieks as I felt his huge hands clamp onto one of my ankles around his waist and yank hard.
"Zedlin! Not fair, let me win!" I screamed out as he started to wrestle me around, grinning and snickering like an evil fool.
When he finally had me how he wanted, he brought his lips down onto my neck and laughed harder. I was helpless as he had somehow managed to trap me on the couch, pressed up against him with one of his hands still clamped around my ankle and the other hand gently petting my hair at the end of a very light chokehold.
I never really thought much about just how strong Zedlin was before everything and I knew he was stronger now, too. Our journey together in the beginning was over very fast before it even really got started.
Also, there was the oh-so-joyous part of Zedlin fighting me and himself every step of the way. The man in front of me — or behind me was so damaged inside, but somehow we managed to always come back to each other like irritating magnets.
Maybe it worked out so well because I was damaged, too.
Either way, I fully blamed the emotional chaos on Zedlin, because he projected the confusion of his emotions onto me and it gave me one hell of an emotional ride. One thing I knew I was very familiar with when it came to Zedlin, was his anger. I now knew how to combat his frustration especially when he was triggered.
However, it still threw me for a loop whenever his sensitive side would make an appearance. It was the way his huge hands just knew how much force to grip me with, even when being playfully forceful with me.
It was how he had his arm clamped across my neck in a chokehold, but not even really feeling any type of pressure from his biceps against my throat.
He was consciously being so careful and gentle with me and I loved seeing that even more from him, every time he interacted with Nathaniel.
