Zedlin
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
She knew why, and that made it even better. I loved it when her teasing side came to play, because it reminded me of how much she denied only to allow access eventually — and damn, I loved a hard challenge with a sweet reward.
So I played along like I always did... for the time being.
My lips stretched into a smile, "I'm looking at you how I always look at you. Do you want to go inside or are you done stalling?"
Her cheeks flushed a bright red and she pushed away the curls dangling in front her face, "I'm not stalling."
"So then get out of the car Sienna," I said lowly and shot her a sultry wink, before I opened my door and got out.
I had thought too damn much about what I was going to do when I got her alone again, so much that the moment didn't seem surreal even though it was really finally here.
My lips twitched with wanting to laugh as the passenger door slammed and she emerged in front of the car looking more confident. She shot me back a wide grin before grabbing my hand and tugging me in the direction of our complex building.
"I'm not afraid of you Zedlin," her voice shot out at me and I looked over to see her smirking.
"No, not afraid but maybe something else," I laughed at her and loved the way she scowled and tried to break free of my grip.
I tightened my fingers over hers and loved the thrill of feeling her weight shift and resist me. Clearly she was either oblivious of the excitement I was gaining or she was purposely trying to rile me up.
There had been so much time lost between us, she must have forgotten how I operate.
Sienna, being the stubborn woman she was, dug her heels into the ground and giggled. I turned to face her, giving one sharp tug that sent her flying into my chest.
"Baby, you have got to try harder than that," I whispered my words across her lips.
"What am I then, if not afraid?" She questioned me with an eyebrow raised.
I smiled and leaned down, brushing my lips across hers, "Maybe nervous... concerned."
"I'm always concerned for my well being when it comes to you," she snickered against my mouth, trying to be funny.
"As you should be, good girl. Let's go, keep walking," I instructed her and kept my arm around her waist, leading her forward and up the stairs.
We didn't say another word to each other until we reached the door and I watched as she took out the key and unlocked the door with trembling fingers.
"I'm thinking maybe we could watch a movie or something. There's one Derrick was telling me about, but it's action packed," I said as soon as we stepped over the threshold of the apartment.
My hand moved to hit the light switch on the wall, but I was suddenly attacked from behind. I guess I never really anticipated her making the first move. She always loved to tease and play hard to get, just to succumb in the end.
"What the fuc—" I started to say, but felt Sienna's foot slam into the back of my left knee, that sent me tumbling directly to the ground.
I tucked and crash landed into the darkness of the apartment, rolling onto the carpet. I couldn't stop the laughter that exploded from my lips as I finally laid still on the ground and sprawled out.
"Timber!" Sienna shouted between giggles and plunged us completely into the darkness as she shut and bolted the door.
"You're fúcking crazy!" I laughed out loud and actually felt tears brimming my eyes. I couldn't remember the last time I fell unwillingly and for some reason it tickled the fúck out of me.
