Every so often I would spend the night at the Sully's. Today, that was the case too. I was just dreaming about Neteyam when suddenly I woke up to na'vi talking excitedly. Someone grabbed my shoulder and shook me carefully. "Hmm?" With sleepy eyes I looked up to see Neytiri standing above me. "Neteyam", she whispered.
That was all I needed to hear.
Without hesitation I jumped out of bed and ran as fast as I could over to the hut where Neteyam was lying for the past three weeks. As I approached the door, I feared my heart would break through my chest because it was beating so heavily.
What did I have to expect?
I braced myself for the worst and as soon as I entered, I sank to my knees and didn't even attempt to hold back my tears.

There he was, pale, shaking and sweating, but he was sitting there with the biggest smile as he saw me.
"Teyam!", I called out happily and sat down next to him. "How are you? Great Mother, I've missed you so damn much. Well, not only me, we've all missed you. I'm so glad you are finally awake."
He blinked slowly as he tried to follow all those words coming out of my mouth. "Uh.. good", he croaked as an answer to my question. Softly I caressed his cheek and wiped my tears away afterwards.
"You look shit." He laughed at those words. Damn, I've missed that laugh. "You're not exactly pretty right now either." He was right. Ever since he was shot I hadn't had a good night's sleep. Furthermore I've spent most of my time next to him. I'd completely neglected my own health and hardly eaten anything. My weight dropped equally, but not nearly als much as Neteyam's. One could count his ribs just by looking at him.
"What did the healers say?" "Gotta stay a few days." The words seemed to exhaust him a lot. "You have no idea how much I've missed you, honey." With a sad smile he looked away. "How long?" "20 days", I responded without missing a beat. He lowered his head. "Missed you too."
Carefully I turned his face to me and placed a kiss on his nose.
"Try to get well soon. You've missed a lot. And we have ro talk about many things. But first, you have to recover and eat something." In this moment the healers came to us. "Ao'nung, you should get going. He needs to rest. Feel free to come back tomorrow." I nodded.
"You've heard them. See you tomorrow, my love. And don't do anything stupid." He smiled and puckered his perfect lips. How could I ever resist this? Finally, our lips reunited.
"See you." It was hard to leave him, but my heart pounded happily.
My Neteyam came back to me.
