valerieI plopped back down into my seat, and there was Fifth, standing over me.
"I should pound ya face in for talkin' to her like that," she warned me.
"Ohhh, I'm so scared," I said sarcastically.
I am drunk.
"Hey, chill, bro," Jadyn stood up, trying to move Fifth back gently. "This my homie, and I don't know you but..."
"Tell ya homie to get some manners," she snapped.
"I'll get some fuckin' manners when I want to. This my motherfuckin' world. I'll have you fired bitch," I laughed. "Eneaj don't want you."
"This the shit I'm talkin' bout Val, you over here fightin' over a girl," Jadyn argued. She nodded at Yenvy, "Go get Peytyn."
"Yeen gotta go get nobody. My problem is with her and her only," Fifth pointed at me.
"That's cool, but we all a joint package, so wassup?"
Jadyn stood in front of me. I was too sunk into my seat to have the energy to get to up, laughing at how pissed off this Jacinth bitch was.
"A problem?" Peytyn asked, coming over with Milli and Yenvy in tow.
"Y'all wouldn't be defendin' her if you knew what an asshole she was," Fifth snapped, "Y'all can enjoy. I'm out." She bumped Pey's shoulder on her way out.
Yenvy walked up to me, moving Jadyn aside. "What was she talkin' about?"
"Eneaj was trippin', and she wanna join in the argument. Tryna be seen in a good light by her new boss sooo bad," I rolled my eyes.
"So ain't nunin wrong then. Shawty trippin'," Yenvy stated. "She was in y'all argument, so what the fuck she pressed for?"
"Man. Eneaj needa fire her ass," Milli said, "Sumin ain't right bout that bitch, and she too much of a hothead anyways."
"Ion care. She bumped me, and that says that she wanna fight," Pey laughed, shaking her hands, "She got me all energized and shit now."
"Let's not do this now. We work here too. We don't wanna trash Eneaj's club on our first collective night off," Jadyn warned.
"Thanks for stickin' up for me y'all," I nodded, "Y'all real one's."
"Like, she just came up and startin' drama with you for no reason?" Yenvy asked.
"Yeah. No reason. All in me and Eneaj's business," J confirmed.
"Where is Eneaj?" Milli asked, looking around.
"Shit, ion know. She walked off. She was pissed," I shrugged. "Milli, you can bring back some more drinks?"
"Gotchu. C'mon. I gotta keep my eye on you," Milli grinned at Pey, taking her along. "We'll be back," she called out to me.
"I'll go check on Eneaj," Jadyn offered, getting up.
"She cool. She wanna be left alone right now," I said, trying to keep the peace with Jadyn tonight since she did hold her ground against Fifth.
"What was y'all arguin' about?" Yenvy asked.
The room felt like it was spinning and I was tired of all these questions. "Man, ion know. Can I think for a second?"
"Sorry, my fault," she mumbled, going back over to her friends.
Jadyn disappeared again, but I didn't really care.
"Come and take some more shots with us, Val," Yenvy giggled, her two friends on either side of her.
"Here, Barbie," one of her friends said.
"Barbie?" I rose a brow, probably looking stupid doing it.
"That's what the bitches call me out here, 'cause I look like a Barbie," Yenvy giggled.
"Milli and Pey bringin' me back some stronger shit," I said.
"I promise you this shit strong enough. My friend brought it," Yenvy held a cup up to my lips. "Open wide, Val," she said cheerfully.
I opened my eyes and I didn't know where I was. I struggled to sit up, looking around.
The club was empty, the lights were still on, Mrs. Smith was shaking Yenvy awake, urgency in her eyes.
"What happened? Where everybody at?" I mumbled, rubbing my sore head.
"Everybody went home. You two are the only ones left here. I just sent Milli and Peytyn home in a Lyft."
"Jadyn and Eneaj?" I inquired.
"Left a long time ago before y'all even thought about leaving yourselves," Mrs. Smith informed us. "I'll call a ride for you two too. Same address correct?"
"Right," I nodded. I couldn't even remember last night. "What time is it?"
"Almost five o'clock," Mrs. Smith sighed. "I waited til the club cleared to deal with y'all."
"Sorry to keep you up. I know you need your sleep."
"It's fine." She nursed Yenvy into an upright position and brought the trash can up to her mouth. I looked away, grabbing a half empty water bottle and chugging it down.
"I feel like I caught the flu, or some shit," I mumbled.
"Best to tuck in tonight then, hm?" Mrs. Smith laughed.
"Me and Yenvy, we didn't...did we?" I gestured between us two.
"Oh, gosh. I hope not. Eneaj seemed rather pissed enough last night as it was," Mrs. Smith commented.
Pissed? Why was Eneaj pissed?
"Do you remember what...happened between me and Eneaj? I seriously remember bits and pieces of shit," I admitted.
"I'm sorry dear. Eneaj left in a much better condition than you and Yenvy combined though. So did Jadyn. They're probably your best bet of any reconciliation of the night. Them, and Jacinth."
"Jacinth, Jacinth," I kept repeating her name, tasting it on my tongue. That name was familiar, and everything hadn't rushed back at me just yet, but I knew her name gave me a sour feeling in my stomach.
"Thanks," I stood up, gripping the table, "I'll call for us a ride."
"Okay," Mrs. Smith nodded, as I stepped out of the area a bit and got on my phone.
No phone calls or texts from Eneaj? Was she still asleep? Did she know me and Yenvy were still at the club? None from Jadyn either.
"Would like to order a ride," I mumbled to myself, pulling up the car app.
