eneajI woke up, last night rushing at me like a bullet train.
I was still in my clothes from the club, but I wasn't at the mansion. I wasn't in my bedroom.
I wasn't in my bed.
I quickly got up, holding my head as I fixed my dress down and looked around. I had never been here before. I picked up a picture frame. I didn't know the people in this.
"You're up."
A girl came in, only a robe tied together tightly and fresh braids.
"Do I know you?" I asked slowly.
"A friend of Yenvy's. Maybe an ex of an ex," she shrugged.
"An ex of an ex...who are you, shawty?"
"You don't remember meee," she pouted, "I was princess I believe, in ninth grade. For our grade level."
"Wasn't ever that social," I shook my head, "A name would jog my memory."
She sighed heavily. "A name won't do. Just know I'm a friend of Yenvy's."
"Mhm. And why am I here? And not at my crib?"
"You wouldn't give me your location last night," she stepped towards me, walking around me slowly as she held one of my own braids, "But you gave me something else last night..."
"Like what?" I frowned, snatching my hair away from her and stepping back.
"Don't worry, you don't have to tell your lil boo, Valerie," she tried touching my face and I slapped her hand away. "I took you home because you were so distraught and depressed and...we had fun. What else can I say?" she shrugged.
"I wouldn't do that," I shook my head. "And you lucky ion remember shit. I still don't believe you."
"We had sex, Eneaj. We did," she stated.
"I'm leaving. And please don't come to my club again," I said firmly, pushing past her.
I remembered everything up until I stepped foot outside the club and this girl appeared. Did she drug me or some shit? I don't care how pissed I was at Val, I wouldn't have cheated on her.
That's not how I roll. Right?
"Don't be in denial, honey," she called out.
I rushed down her stairs, leaving the house.
I didn't have my phone, didn't have my wallet. It wasn't in the bed with me, so God knows where all my shit was. I'd have to freeze accounts, get new identification, transfer all my info.
But I didn't care.
What I wanted more than anything was to remember.
Because how can I deny that girl's word...when I don't know what really happened last night?
I was at the Little Ceasar's a few blocks from that girl's house. One of the people let me use they phone to call someone.
Right now, I didn't know who I could lean on, and I only had a limited amount of numbers I memorized.
"Mom...can you come pick me up?" my voice cracked.
"Oh, honey. Where are you? I'm coming."
"I don't know," I covered my mouth, tears rolling down my face. "I don't know."
"Find out. Okay? Find out," she instructed.
