eneaj"Oh...hey Fifth," I waved, as Val and her pulled up. I held my hand out, "Keys."
"You don't needa drive right now," Val stated.
"I think you needa give me them keys before I go down to the station bout yo ass. I got more than enough witnesses."
She held up her hands in surrender, getting out and gently handing me my keys.
I got into the driver's seat, trying to get myself comfy as I readjusted the seats and mirrors.
"Where was my hey," Val murmured from behind me, next to Pey.
"You'll get your hey when I'm ready to talk to you."
"Go easy on her," Fifth said softly. "I don't think she meant it, but that's definitely a conversation for later."
"I already made up my mind that I'd forgive you, Val. I took the alcohol into account when I made this decision," I said slowly.
"I'm sorry," she held my gaze through the mirror, "I really am."
"Fry?" Pey offered Val.
Val shot her a look. "There's a time and a place, Pey. There's a time and a place."
"Where are we headed to next?" Fifth asked hesitantly. "I'm glad you're okay and all, but um, I don't really know none of y'all like that."
"Houston. Jadyn and Milli are already know to head for the mansion. We just gotta get Yenvy to go there too, if she's not already headed that way," Val stated.
"I'm sorry- The what? The mansion?" Fifth repeated.
I explained the whole deal with the mansion and all the living arrangements it had came to hold.
"That's definitely...cool," Fifth agreed, shocked. "I don't think I've ever been inside of one before."
"So...Val made a stop to scoop you up?" I asked curiously, switching topics.
"Um, something like that. I know some parts of the stories that hadn't been...heard yet, I guess you could say. She thought it'd be useful if I came along too."
"Once we have the full story of things, we can go and cut that bitch Kaley up," Val said from behind me.
Fifth's eyes widened. "Oh."
"Val," I hissed. She had forgotten that Fifth didn't know all about who she used to be and what the crew did for money.
"She not innocent either. Shawty packin'."
I kept the wheel straight, quickly glancing at Fifth, "You got a gun?"
"I had to. I got it when I was up in Dallas. I needed protection for myself. And for the things I had to do..."
"Like what?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I'm not proud of it. But...robbin', shit like that...doin' jobs for niggas."
"Huh, we in the same boat then," Pey clapped Fifth on the shoulder. "Knew there was sumin I liked about you."
Fifth awkwardly smiled.
"So like I said," Val cut in, "Once we got the full story, we gon go and find this Kaley bitch and cut her up."
"Val, chill. I don't even wanna...hear about any violence right now. And my head hurts like crazy."
"Mine too," Pey admitted, "But because of Yenvy's ass."
"Don't even get me started on her. She really pissed me off in that damn vehicle," I stated.
"Okay. Let's take the quickest way to Houston," Val suggested. "So we can settle everything as fast as possible."
