eneajWe had left Valerie's hospital room when Jadyn got a phone call that she felt was sooo important that we had to stop heading for the car so I could go back to my club to help and we stopped in the middle of the hall.
"Mhm. Okay," she was saying.
I went and sat down, sighing.
"What a fuckin' day," I mumbled.
Jadyn slid her phone back into her pocket. "Get up now. You needa be here when I tell Val this." I frowned, a little bit because of her tone and also because it sounded like whatever information she had just gotten was serious.
We went back to Val's room and she was groaning, reaching for her bed remote.
I handed it to her, sitting down besides her bed. I looked at Jadyn, waiting for her to tell us whatever news she had.
"What's goin' on?" Val asked slowly, "They just gave me something and they told me it might make me a little sleepy."
"I know who Illiora's killer is," Jadyn said carefully.
"What?" I leaned forward, "Who is it?"
Val clutched my hand as Jadyn took in a deep breath.
"Yenvy."
My mouth fell open.
"Not Jacinth...but Yenvy?" Val looked at Jadyn, "But we talked today...and everything was pointing towards Jacinth. She's from Dallas, she was takin' niggas out, she's new around us. What?"
"Yenvy planted Jacinth in Dallas for Eneaj to bring around. She was purely there...for framing purposes. To make it seem as if she was the one who killed Ill."
"But...why?"
"Because your heart, Eneaj. You'd never turn somebody away, and Yenvy used that against you."
"But why would she kill Illiora? What the fuck?"
"That...I don't know."
"Is Milli already on the way to the mansion?"
"No. We hadn't told her to yet," I said, trying to make sense of all of this.
"They never interacted much. That should've been a sign that they were in cahoots," Val mentioned. She yawned, "I don't think I can stay awake much longer. I'm sorry guys."
"It's fine, you recover. By the time you're better, they'll both be dead," I promised, standing up and leaving the room.
I could hear Val laughing in the room as I went out into the hall. What her and Jadyn failed to realize, was that I was serious.
In my car, I sat in the passenger seat as Jadyn drove.
Coming here I was too jittery to drive, now I was too pissed. "I want Milli to kill her. I want Milli to find Kaley and kill her too," I said.
"Why Milli?" Jadyn asked, a little amused.
"You know why. Milli tortures. That's what she's good at. I know that; you know that," I stated.
"We can't just go around killin'. Things have to be planned out so they don't trail back to us. But...it can be done. I just want to make sure it won't eat you up inside if you make a decision-
"It won't. I don't care if she was my friend or not," I snapped. "This is a different type of betrayal. When Milli kills her, I just wanna know why Yenvy would do it. I thought she was helping her. But it all adds up," I shook my head. "She knew her flight. Knew all the details. Knew everything."
