Chapter Twenty-Five

Jax's POV.

I don't understand why Jess is doing this. She still hasn't done her whole 'villain speech' to which I am quite surprised at seeing she has spent a whole lot of time with me. After yesterday Jess said she was done with my services and instead of keeping me chained up, she let me walk around the cell and gave me scraps to chew on while I wait. You would think my whole kingdom would be after my about now. I can't be that far away from the castle and yet it's taking them days to get to me. I should've been out of here by the end of the second day, but yet here I am on my sixth day here. Am I not as admired as I thought I am?

Hearing cries upon cries outside of my cell walls that lead to the outside I could hear the muffled noises of men and the cries of women that were most likely being slain. Walking to my cell door I looked at the guard, "Hey, will you let me out now? My saviors are here."

"No, Jax. Jess said I must protect you from anyone at all costs."

I scoffed and touched the metal bars only to hiss back from the silver that connected with my flesh. Of course, why wouldn't it be anything else, "Okay, look," I squinted at him, he looks like a Jones to me, "look, Jones, I don't have all damn day for this. Your bitch just raped me for several days on end and you think she is all high and mighty? A God even?"

"Jess is our savior. If she says one thing then it will be writ and we do as we're told."

"Even if that means you die in the process?"

"I will do anything to protect our Goddess from the likes of you. She is the morning and evening star."

I laughed at him. No one should have this much power, I mean I'm a King and I have a giant ego but Jess sounds like me on steroids or something. Suddenly, I heard the entrance door to this building bust open and the one person I didn't want to see this entire time was standing over there stabbing the guard. Blake. Why the fuck does it have to be him? I have immense issues with this guy putting his dick in my mate, and soon-to-be wife and he just comes in here to save the day. He put on a pair of gloves and ran over to my cell door, pulling it off its hinges and smiled at me. I want to punch him.

"Well, hello there your highness. You've got yourself into a mighty big pickle here," he guided me through the building to get out and I huffed at him.

"I wish it wasn't so, but yet here I am being saved by you."

"Ah, c'mon now Jax, no need to be hostile," his eyes shined with a mischief I couldn't quite decide if it was good or not.

"I have every right to be hostile against the man who put his dick in my mate and made her orgasm," I growled to him and he turned to face me with a shake of his head.

"You know we're second mates and yet you're hostile about it? I didn't even cum in her dude, I just gave her what she needed. You won't let me mark her for crying out loud so I have to rebuild a connection that isn't supposed to waver. And you know what, you can go back to that holding cell if you're so hell bent of pissing me off. I saved you. I didn't even leave to go back home to my mate because you were being held captive and your pregnant wife couldn't even come get you."

Growling lowly I walked over to him and held him by his shirt, pulling him to me and letting my King energy radiate off of me, "Don't push your luck, Blake. Just because you're second mates doesn't mean you have to mark her in any sort of way. The only mark she'll be wearing on her neck is mine," I let go of his shirt and he scoffed at me.

"Whatever, dude. You know what, you can find your own way back to your castle since you don't need my help. I'm the one who got that Rogue captured. If it wasn't for me, your men wouldn't even know about that Rogue that was sneaking around on your property."

I scrunched my eyebrows together, "What? What did you just say?"

"Your own men couldn't find a Rogue on your own property. I got them to find the Rogue that was sneaking around and Gipsy interrogated him to find out where you were."

My mate interrogated someone? How interesting... I thought she couldn't even hurt a fly if she wanted too and she got so riled up to the point of possibly hurting someone, "Look, can you please guide me through this forest to get back to my home? I need to get to Gipsy, and I am weak. They haven't been feeding me or giving me water and forcing silver through my veins. It's lucky I'm standing here right now and not passed out on the ground."

Blake looked at me for a couple beats and sighed, nodding his head he guided me through the forest to get back to my mate.

Gipsy's POV.

I was anxiously waiting for Blake's return because I knew he would have Jax with him and everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. It's been a day's worth since he left yesterday and I honestly could not sleep a wink last night. My thighs ached for him and my heart beat faster knowing he could be home any second and my brain spun knowing what happened to him. Will he be a shell of a man? I know it will take time, a long time, to get back to normal after what happened to him and I will be there every second of the way. He won't have to tell me a thing until he is ready to tell me the truth of what happened.

"Reine, he is here," my personal guard, Winnie, told me.

"Oh, thank Goddess," I started to run to the castle entrance and was soon met with his eyes. Sighing in content and I went over to him and started to pat him down looking for any major injuries, "I'm so happy you're here," I whispered while my tears started to leak.

"Yes, love, I am here," he grabbed a hold of me and held me for what seemed like forever. My heart fell in a state of content and I sighed with a mixture of that same content and happiness.

"You don't have to talk about anything until you're ready. I know what happened, but we don't have to talk," I reassured him and he relaxed.

"I want a bath, and some actual food," he cracked a smile and we left to go get his favorite meal.
