Chapter Twenty-Eight
My fingers absentmindedly played with the turquoise necklace that now lay on my chest and I sighed in content while also playing on Jax's computer. He has so many games on here that he downloaded it is unreal and it is especially helpful since I am sitting in his office waiting on him to finish interrogating some guy that supposedly might know where the Great White is. Strange that there are so many things going on and Jax is hyper focused on finding this guy who may or may not be a myth. Myth to me anyway. A scream erupted from the room adjoining his office and I bolted out of Jax's office chair, running to the room he is in.
Opening the door quickly, the metallic stench of blood filled my nose and I coughed trying to get rid of it. Gulping down my anxiety about the situation I looked at the guy who seemed to be ten times more scared of Jax than I have seen anyone else be.
"Jax, what's going on? Why are you doing this to him?"
Jax was wiping his hands with a towel, sweat gathered on his forehead along with his sleeves rolled up his arms defining his muscles. Jesus, "Gipsy, I thought I told you to wait out in the office until I am done," he said sharply.
Taken aback I looked at him, "Um, no. First and for most, this guy might not even know anything and you're torturing him for sport."
He growled towards the guy who was pleading with his eyes at me, "He knows something and I am going to get it out of him no matter what."
I growled back towards Jax as a warning, "Jax, this isn't a game. Wherever you took him from is going to be looking for him and it's your fault if they decide to come looking. Let the poor guy alone."
Jax looked between me and the guy and after staring at him for a good minute, he went over and freed his hands from the chair he was sitting him. His blood was now drying as well as his wounds now starting to heal, "Run."
The guy bolted from the chair and ran out of the rooms, soon and hopefully finding his way out of this castle. Jax sighed and threw down the towel he was holding onto the floor, shoving his way passed me with a grunt.
"Um, hello? You can't just shove your way passed me like that? Especially with a piss poor attitude you have going on."
"I almost cracked him, Gipsy! I was right there! God forbid you see me doing a bad thing and immediately get in the way. Sometimes my way of doing things is the right thing. I have only been doing it for about a hundred years until you came along with your "I-am-too-good" attitude towards everything."
My head started to reel with what he was telling me and I honestly could get sick from this, "It's not that I am "too good" for this kind of thing but I was listening in the whole time. He said he didn't know multiple times and his scream was so raw. If he was lying he wouldn't have screamed and pleaded with you like that, Jax," my belly moved around from our fight and I could tell that our baby was getting upset, if not a little annoyed.
Jax rolled his eyes and sat down at his desk, "Look, love, I don't care what you think of me especially when I am so close to finding that man for you. Suck it up."
My eyes started to tear, my lip quivered and I rolled my eyes, backing away from him. Walking out of his office, more like waddling from his office, I choked back a sob until I could get to my room and be comfortable. Settling down in my room, I sighed as I sat down on the bed. Resting my hand on my belly I felt my baby move underneath my touch and I smiled, "Active now, are we? Gonna kick your father in the ass for me?"
He moved again under my hand and I giggled.

Going down to the kitchen I sat on the barstool eating my mint ice cream while reading through my phone looking through the messages I have with Blake. Heavy footsteps came from the stairs leading down to the kitchen I looked over and saw Jax staring at me. He was wearing more of a lax look and when I looked down at his hands they no longer had dried blood on them and his hair was wet. Putting down my spoon and my ice cream I stared at him back causing him to shake his head.
"Look, Gipsy, I'm sorry for starting a fight with you. I'm so close to figuring this out and I got so mad whenever you came in there."
Being careful not to bump my belly too hard against the kitchen table I grumbled, "Look, it's fine. Just quit your bitching."
Laughter erupted from his throat and he clutched his stomach. He's laughing. That motherfucker is laughing at me, "I'm sorry, but that was too funny. I got you, I got you," he came beside me and wrapped his arms around me giving me a hug.
Hugging him back he started tickling me. No, no, no! I giggled and wrapped around to face him, tickling him back. He started to move away from me and chuckled with me. Grabbing Jax's hands I moved them to my belly while our baby was moving and kicking. He smiled while feeling him move around.
"Aaron."
"I'm sorry?" I said to him.
"His name should be Aaron. Aaron Moon Wood."
I nodded my head and felt something trickle down my leg, creasing my eyebrows and looked down at the sudden puddle that was being made between my legs. Oh my goodness.
"Uh, Jax," I motioned down to my feet, "I think it's time?"
His eyes bulged out of his head and he jumped up and down, "Okay... okay! It's baby time! Let's go to the infirmary!"
He gripped me tightly and helped me move to where the infirmary is, and I started to feel uncomfortable. Gripping Jax's hand tightly he hissed, "You're going to break my hand, love."
Letting some of his hand go I sucked in a breath, "He is making his way downtown for sure. I feel him moving."
Jax picked me up settling me into his arms letting me relax against his chest, feeling the contraction trying to overtake me. These are coming pretty strong... What if I die? What if Aaron dies?
"Gipsy, you're going to be okay. I promise," he kissed the top of my head. He continued to jog to the infirmary and as soon as he opened the door, Doctor Sun swooped in and Jax set me back down to the floor.
Doctor Sun and Jax were talking to each other, but it was muffled. The contractions were so painful. It was like someone was setting me on fire and I could feel Aaron moving in my stomach, he moved further down with each breath I could take. Why am I feeling him like this? I tried to look at Jax, but black spots came into my vision and I sucked in a deep breath.
"J-Jax."
He continued talking to Doctor Sun and I sucked in a bigger breath, "Jax! I'm dying over here. I can't hear... I can't see!"
My legs started to wobble and my lungs started to constrict. This is it. I can't breathe. Feeling my knees start to give out I was starting to fall. Doctor Sun and Jax caught me while I was trying to catch my breath. Sweat beaded on my forehead and poured out of my everywhere. I'm going to die.
