Kaiden

I awake with a sharp cough.

I sit up in a frenzy.

Looking around.

Broken glass, blood.

But no Genesis.

fuck.

I quickly stumble out of the car, holding onto my most likely broken ribs.

"Fuck fuck fuck" I shout, looking around the woods.

He took her.

He fucking took her.

The voice I heard right before I was knocked out.

"Doesn't feel so good to be hit in the face, huh?"

That fucker ex of Genesis.

It was him, I know it was.

He came by the school a few hours ago, looking for her.

I told him to piss off.

I couldn't hold myself back when he started telling me about all the things he did to her.

And now she's gone.

My eyes start to tear up, dammit!

My eyes blur and I almost fall.

No no, fuck off. I don't have time for a fucking concussion.

I quickly throw on my pants and t-shirt and sprint towards the music coming from the trees.

I reach the bonfire, there's less people here now, hopefully it will be easier to spot her brothers.

My eyes search the small crowd.

Fuck where are they!

I finally spot Gunner, he's on the ground passed out.

I run over to him, bypasses watching me curiously. Probably looking at my busted up face.

I kneel beside him and shake him roughly.

"Gunner! Fucking wake up!" I shout desperately, I need this drunk fucker to call his brother and to find Genesis asap.

Before it's too late.

I clench my eyes shut at the thought.

No she won't die, she won't.

She's strong, whatever happens she'll push through it all.

He doesn't respond and I growl, slapping him across the face, hard.

He lets out a groan and opens one eye.

"Blackwell, I swear to god if you don't-"

His eye shuts and he blacks out again.

"Fuck!" I shout and stand up.

Looking for the other fucker.

I don't see him.

Shit.

"Have you seen Xander Blackwell?" I ask the crowd that's looking at me like I have a asshole in the middle of my forehead.

"Have you!?" I shout and they jump back before shaking their heads no.

Fuck!

Useless drunk fucks.

I run back to my car, quickly searching for my keys before shoving them into the ignition and speeding out of the woodsy area.
