No One's POV

Neteyam kept his distance from Mali'ki and focused on learning the ways of the Herwi clan. He was so focused and trained on earning his place amongst the clan as well.

Jake and Neytiri worried about their oldest son but didn't push him. Jake felt bad for how they left things and wanted to talk to him but he saw how focused his son was and didn't want to disturb him.

Tuk had started making friends and started finding the passion for dancing with the members of the clan, Kiri helped with collecting herbs and started making her own medicines that she learned from Mo'at, Lo'ak was working hard to become part of the warriors just like his brother and parents.

No one pushed Neteyam to speak about what happened with Mali'ki. He was silent. He avoided Malachi and Mali'ki as much as he could, but was forced to spar with him when it was late into practicing.

Neteyam wanted to actually fight him for the heart of Mali'ki but he wasn't like that. Yet he didn't want to give up on her so easily. Malachi was a smug, arrogant, male. He acted so high strong. Neteyam wanted to knock him down a few inches but decided not to cause trouble. Plus his birthday was coming up. Along with Mali'kis, surprisingly.

- POV Change ; Mali'kis POV -

It has been a few days since I last spoken to Neteyam and from afar I can see him training himself to the max. He has been avoiding me like the plague and it honestly hurt, but it's all my fault.

I was currently helping the kids practice archery and others how to weave their own clothing. They weren't like small children more like eight years old and up, and these kids were very fast learners.

I was showing some of the kids that was doing archery the stance that they needed to have and caught a glimpse of Neteyam and Malachi sparing. My heart started pounding rapidly in my chest as I saw the two males. Neteyam captured my attention more than Malachi.

The kids stopped and watched the two spar, I cleared my throat and they went back to doing what they were doing. I could hear Malachi testing Neteyam, saying untrue things, my attention snapped towards the two when I heard a loud groan. I excused myself from the children and ran towards the two males.

Neteyam was on the floor holding his mouth, "MALACHI! What the hell!?" I shouted as I kneeled beside Neteyam and pulled his hand away from his mouth and saw the bust opened lip. Malachi smirked and immediately changed his demeanor to becoming the victim.

"My flower he tried to attack me, he tried turning this harmless practice into a full blown fight!" Malachi said with such fake hurtful eyes, I held up my hand yet Malachi tried speaking again. "ENOUGH!" I seethed and Malachi immediately closed his mouth.

Neteyam stood up and spit out his saliva that was mixed with his blood, "this isn't over Malachi" he threatened and I walked away with him. He cradled his lip as blood dripped down from his lip and down his hand, I led him to my home, more specifically my room.

My mother wasn't home so I sat him down on my bed, he protested but I have had enough. I gathered some healing herbs and sat down next to him.

"You didn't have to step in" he stated not looking at me, I sighed, "if I didn't step in.. you would've killed Malachi" I stated truthfully. Neteyam looked at me and we held eye contact, "you're right" he smirked and licked his busted lip. I felt on fire immediately.

I shook my head to rid of the sinner thoughts and focused on making the paste that helps heal wounds. We sat in silence, except I could feel Neteyam's eyes burning into my skin.
