As Gabriel opened his eyes, he found himself standing in the lush Garden of Eden. The scent of flowers and fruit trees filled his nostrils, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over him. He looked around, trying to take in his surroundings and make sense of what had just happened.

Suddenly, he felt a wave of relief wash over him as he realized that he was no longer tethered to God. His mind was his own again, and he was free to make his own choices. He turned to Samuel, who was standing beside him, and gave him a smile of gratitude.

"Thank you for everything, Samuel," Gabriel said, his voice filled with emotion. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

Samuel gave him a small smile in return. "You don't have to thank me, Gabriel. I would do anything for you."

Gabriel nodded, then looked around once again. "What now?" he asked.

"I don't know," Samuel replied. "We could go back to Heaven, or we could stay here. It's up to you."

Gabriel thought for a moment before deciding that he didn't want to go back to Heaven. It was too painful to be there, knowing what he had gone through. Instead, he wanted to stay here, in this peaceful place, where he could finally be free.

"Let's stay here," Gabriel said, his eyes shining with a newfound hope.

Samuel nodded in agreement, and the two of them began to explore the Garden of Eden. They walked among the trees, picking fruit and enjoying the sunshine. They talked about everything and nothing, simply enjoying each other's company.

As the day wore on, they found themselves at the edge of the Garden. They looked out into the vast expanse of the universe, feeling a sense of wonder and awe. Suddenly, Gabriel stumbled and fell, his body shaking with sobs.

Samuel rushed to his side, wrapping his arms around him and holding him close. "What's wrong, Gabriel?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

"I'm free," Gabriel sobbed. "But I don't know how to live without God. I don't know who I am anymore."

Samuel held him tighter, whispering words of comfort and reassurance. "You're still Gabriel," he said. "You're still the archangel of Heaven, but now you're free to be whoever you want to be. You don't have to live up to anyone's expectations anymore."

Gabriel nodded, slowly calming down. He looked up at Samuel, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Thank you, Samuel. I don't know what I would do without you."

Samuel smiled back at him. "You don't have to do anything without me. We'll always be together, no matter what."

Gabriel's smile grew wider as the two of them sat there, watching the universe unfold before them. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly happy and at peace.

As the sun began to set, they decided to find a place to rest for the night. They wandered deeper into the Garden, eventually coming across a hidden clearing. In the center of the clearing was a small pond, surrounded by tall grasses and wildflowers.

As Gabriel and Samuel walked out of the Garden of Eden, they found themselves in a strange place. The sky was a swirl of colors, and the ground beneath their feet was shifting and unstable. They looked around in confusion, unsure of where they were.

"This doesn't look like any place I've ever been," Samuel said, his eyes scanning the bizarre landscape.

Gabriel nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of unease creeping up on him. "I don't like this," he said softly.

As they walked further, they noticed that the colors of the sky were changing, becoming darker and more intense. Suddenly, they heard a loud boom, and the ground shook beneath their feet. They looked up and saw a massive portal opening in the sky.

"What is that?" Samuel asked, fear creeping into his voice.

"I don't know," Gabriel replied, equally as scared. "But we need to get out of here."

They ran towards the portal, hoping to find a way out. As they got closer, they realized that the portal was pulling them in, as if it had a mind of its own.

"We have to go through it," Gabriel yelled over the roar of the portal.

Samuel nodded, and they both jumped into the portal, bracing themselves for what was on the other side.

When they emerged from the other side of the portal, they found themselves in a vast, empty space. The ground beneath their feet was solid and stable, and the sky was a peaceful shade of blue.

"Where are we?" Samuel asked, looking around in wonder.

"I don't know," Gabriel said, a sense of calm washing over him. "But I feel... at peace."

As they walked further, they saw other beings wandering around, all with a similar look of confusion and peace on their faces.

"Is this... Limbo?" Gabriel asked, unsure.

"I think it might be," Samuel replied, his eyes scanning the peaceful landscape. "But does it really matter? We're free."

Gabriel smiled, feeling the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, he was truly free.

They walked further into Limbo, taking in the beauty and peace around them. And as they walked, they knew that they had found a new balance. A balance where they could rule together, as equals.

The end.
