Truly, Madly, Crazily

Chapter Nine

Tumambay kami sa clinic pagkadala namin doon kay Cielo. Yung clinic na pinuntahan namin is yung clinic sa college campus para malapit na lang.

Dumating din sila Maddy at Ash, naiiyak si Maddy at sobrang nagaalala. Nawalan ng malay si Cielo habang papunta kami sa clinic hindi niya na ata nakayanan ang sakit, until now she's still asleep.

The match lasts about 9 minutes, so I still have about an hour mahigit para tumambay. All of us are here inside the clinic talking about random things. We have a gig on saturday at AOS, pinag uusapan namin kung ano ang kakantahin at nagiisip din kami ng mga pakulo.

Our band consists of 5 members. Ako as the vocalist and sometimes drummer kapag unavailable si Gael. Javier as the bassist and Lance as our guitarist. Our 5th member is Lloyd, vocalist too. Our band is called Knights, obvious naman kung bakit.

It has been like 30 minutes hindi pa din nagigising si Cielo, sayang sesermunan ko sana. Tumayo na ako at nag-stretching. Napansin kong wala dito si Monique, come to think of it. From the start of the match till now she's not around. I'm sure she's with us on the way to the Archery Field, san nagpunta yon?

"Lance isermon at ipitik mo na lang ako sa noo ni Cielo. I need to go, 30 minutes na lang start na ng training namin.." Lance nodded saka pinitik ng mahina ang noo ni Cielo. "Idiot! Mamaya kase pag gising na para dama niya sakit HAHAHAHA" tumawa din si Lance at Javier while the rest stay serious. Tinapik ko ang balikat ni Gael at tinanguan niya lang ako.

Lumabas na ako then headed to the Gym. Yup! Mahaba-habang lakaran na naman opo. I decided to walk instead of riding an e-jeep to warm up. Sobrang lawak talaga ng campus na to. Out of the four private universities here in New Luiseno, Chavez University ang pinaka-malawak. Nagsimula na akong mag-jog ng mabagal, binabati ako ng mga nakakasalubong ko at binabati ko din sila pabalik. From here to the Gym it would take about 10 minutes if you're walking and less than 8 if you'll run or jog.

Malapit na ako sa Gym ng nakita ko si Mon na nasa likod ng Chapel. Andito lang pala to.. Lalapitan ko na sana siya napansin kong may kausap siya. Lumapit pa ako para makita ng mas maayos ang kausap niya. Nakatalikod sakin si Mon habang nakaharap naman sakin yung kausap niya. I was about to approach them but I immediately stopped myself.

The girl Mon is talking to looks familiar, I just can't pinpoint kung saan at kailan ko siya nakita. I don't know why I'm hiding instead of approaching them, maybe for privacy? Malay natin she's Mon's partner or something right?

Pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang kabuuan ng babae. She's wearing a sports polo shirt which is, I believe , the uniform for the members of the Archery Team. Napansin ko ang lanyard na suot niya, from the Department of Fine Arts? Naalala ko yung sinabi ni Coach last time.

"She's Raven Brown. First year student, she took fine arts as her course at Roxas University."

Agad kumunot ang noo ko and I didn't dare approach them. What is this? How did she manage to get inside CU and member pa siya ng Archery team. Is she sabotaging our team or she's sabotaging RU?

Dahan dahan akong naglakad paalis and headed to the gym, i'm still thinking of what i saw. I should ask Monique bakit niya kausap ang babaeng yon, i don't want to jump into conclusions. Hahayaan ko silang mag explain, both Raven and Monique.

Upon entering the Gym i see my teammates na may kanya kanyang ginagawa. Some of them are playing basketball, some are using their phones but most of them are talking at nagtatawanan ng malakas.

Lumapit ako kina Ayes at Russ, they're with Rielle and Justine. I greeted them and they greeted me back.

"Captain, ano gagawin natin ngayon?" Russ asked.

"According to Coach yesterday we're going to have a match. 5 versus 5, ang matatalo need libutin gym 10 laps.." kumuha ako sa chichiryang kinakain ni Russ at tumabi sa kanya. Nakaupo lang kami sa lapag ng court, habang si Rielle ay nakahiga at nakaunan sa lap ni Justin.

"10 laps na naman amen.. Sana kagrupo ko kayo para hashtag safe ako." reklamo ni Russ. Makapagsalita kala mo naman hindi magaling mag-basketball

"Good afternoon, guys!" napatingin kami sa entrance ng Gym. Pumasok si Prof. Benett, she's wearing jogging pants instead of a teacher's uniform. "Sorry for barging in! Coach Ricafort and his assistant coach are unavailable so I'll be the one to train you for this day.."

Lumapit si Rielle at nakipag-beso sa ate niya. Yup! They're sisters. Rielle and Abrielle Benett. She's one of Lyric's friends, tatlo sila, yung dalawa is sina Ms. de Silva at Mrs. Lacroix.

"What we're going to do are conditioning drills, but before that warm up muna kayo. Stand up everyone form a line!" Prof. Benett looked at me. "Miss Andrico please change your clothes.. I'll give you a minute to change. Pag hindi ka pa nakapagpalit, 10 laps." I immediately ran towards the comfort para magpalit. Narinig ko pa silang tumatawa ng malakas tapos binilangan pa ako. Nagsuot na lang ako ng muscle tee at jersey shorts. Tumakbo na ako pabalik kahit hindi ko pa nasusuot ang rubber shoes ko. The result? Ayon nadulas ako

"Andrico!"

"Lay!"

"Captain!"

"Fuck!" daing ko.
