How am I going to tell him?

At the thought, my hands instinctively went to cradle my stomach. Was it really possible that there was a baby inside?

It seemed like a strange possibility.

Me. A child.

From what little I knew of werewolf pregnancies, I knew it would last around 3 months.

And what if that coincides with the apparent battle between ourselves and the betas?

I had an instinct that I was carrying a baby boy, a young version of Marcus i suppose.

It was strange to think that in just a few, short months... I would have a child.

It felt like these days I had been getting too much. Marcus, a wolf, and now a baby.

As odd as it sounds, being a wolf is still never my first instinct.

When approached, I reacted by throwing my hands up in front of me, ready to face an attacker with my powers. I rarely growled, I barely even felt the need to 'go for a run' as I always heard my fellow wolves saying.

I had spoken to Sam about it, and she told me she had felt the same. Her wolf had not always been a main part of her, she was used to having it in the background before she got it, which meant that when her wolf finally came it was more detached.

My wolf was there, but if anything I felt more lonely than ever.

And though it was nice to have a constant presence in my mind, I was far too used to being alone, it was almost disturbing to feel as though I no longer had privacy.

My feelings towards the presence of my wolf were negative, which had prevented me from trying to reach out to her.

It scared me to do so, it was hard for me to shift without her, so I rarely did it.

The freedom as a wolf was enlightening, but the form felt unnatural for me to be in.

I wasn't a wolf at heart, I was a flame.

"Hi,"

It was then that I felt a warm presence, I opened my eyes and saw Marcus sat next to me, smiling down at me and making goosebumps rise on my skin, a shiver went down my spine as I looked into his eyes.

I sat up and turned to face him, I guess it was now or never.

I took his hands in mine, taking a deep breath and trying not to avoid his gaze.

"Marcus I... I have something to tell you..." I whispered, looking down.
