POV: Ben
Max curled up and hugged his legs placing his head on top of them just looking into the distance. "Max we are all scared..." I told him. it is true though we are... "It doesn't seem that way..." he says. "Max we are all just trying to stay positive," I said. He wasn't convinced.
he looked at me. "we are all gonna die if we don't get rid of that dome... whatever killed Preston will kill us..." he said. "Max if we were to be a scaredy cat in a corner would that help us escape?" I ask confidently. "no," he said sighing.
he looked like he wanted to say so much but he was holding something back. "hey you know you can always talk to me. remember I know how to keep a secret." I say. "I don't know..." he said sadly. "I mean remember you told me you're trying to figure out your sexuality? and wanted me to keep that a secret? well, I haven't told anyone!" I said. He started blushing from embarrassment and smiling equally. "Oh My God shut up..." he said laughing a bit.
"you get my point though!" I say knowing I got him. I sit back laying on the grass. I notice he does the same. "hey being trapped is not that bad." I say. He looks at me like I just said I would kill him. at least that was the look on his face.
"well look we get to look at the stars and enjoy the outdoors! plus we all get to hang out... well almost all of us..." I say remembering Preston's death. "yeah... Preston's body was so torn up..." Max said. I could feel he started getting uncomfortable. "hey it's fine. we will make it out of this!" I said trying to motivate him.
he rolls over and looks at me. "thanks, Ben... Ok and yeah you're still not allowed to tell anyone about my sexuality situation!" says Max as I giggle. "ok" I reply as I notice Max seems very tired. it's then that I remembered he has not slept in 2 days. "hey you should go get some sleep!" I say as I get up. and he does the same.
"yeah fair..." he says. we walk back to the camp and he goes off state to the cabin as I sit at the fireplace with the others and eat some food. "so what did you guys do?" asked Jenny. "just talked" I reply. "so have you told him you like him yet?" asked Jake.
I almost choked on my food but ended up spitting it out as I started to blush equally. "W-WHAT?!?" I yell. "oh come on we aren't blind we've seen how you look at him when he's not looking! or when you think no one sees you!!!" said Anna. I was dying from embarrassment and didn't know what to say.
"i-I don't uuuhhh. what if he does not like boys!" I say thinking that would win. "it's Max even if he doesn't he won't stop being your friend. plus every time his name is said you start blushing a little!" said Pat. "OH, and you also blush when you see him. oh and smile but still!!!" said Jake.
"b-but I-I umm" I strugule trying to think of a redeeming argument. "just admit it. you have a crush on Max Jakups!" said Anna smirking with Jenny. I gave in and just let out a sigh. "fine... I have a crush on Max... happy?" I asked.
"yep... now go tell him!" said Pat. "HELL NO!!!" I say and he started laughing with the others. "na take your time. we are only messing. plus we are gonna be here a while unless you know how to take down magical domes?" says Jake and we all laugh. "I wish" I reply.
POV: Max
I was laying on the floor in my sleeping bag tired. I just ate my food and looked at the ceiling. Fetch lay next to me after he finished eating his food and so did Bowie. I don't forget to feed them. "so we have... we have one day left till someone dies after tomorrow someone will die... I need to tell the others..." I was having a full-on breakdown as fetch comforted me. I could hear them talking outside about me but I didn't care.
after all my friend's safety is more important to me. but I did hear Ben yell so I listens in to the conversation. "WAIT he likes me?!?" I questioned as I sat up more. It's then that I noticed jakes camera. I got curious to see if Jake recorded anything new. I looked true the clips.
-Video-
I played one with Ben in it. "alright go!" said Jake. "alright well Im 16 my name is Ben Simon. yes, my name is a bit odd but I don't care I like gaming and driving I like football and basketball." Ben continued to talk till. "so what are you into? Boys or girls?" asked Jake Ben blushed a bit while scratching his head. "both..." he responded. "any crush" asked Jake. Ben blushed more. "GIVE ME THAT!!" he said as he charged at Jake. "NOPE!" Jake said running.
I couldn't help but laugh I looked true a few more and soon noticed one that froze me for a bit... jake was vlogging I don't think they had the camera screen on the side that shows them what the camera sees otherwise they would see that dark figure in the back. I play the video.
"Max... Max... Times running out...." he could hear a voice whispering in the video. I stare at the black creature in the woods behind Jake and the others as I hold back tears of fear. I close the camera.
-All video clips over-
I put the camera back and lay in my bed as I just started crying. fetch sitting next to me trying to help. "I can't do this... w-what does it want why can only I hear and see it?!?" I question out loud... "WHAT DOES IT WANT!!!" I ask angrily pushing my bag away as I grip Fetch more.
my arm begins to sting. I look as read text appears. my mind was tired and my vision was getting blurry as I started to pass out... "I-I want" I couldn't finish reading as I collapse into my sleeping bag. and passed out.
