Jimin had always known that their relationship was not accepted in society. Even though he and Jungkook were both hybrids, they were of different breeds, which made their love illegal in the eyes of the law. The government had enforced strict laws that prohibited hybrids of different breeds from being together, citing the risk of genetic abnormalities and the possibility of social unrest.

Despite the law, Jimin and Jungkook had fallen deeply in love with each other. They had been friends for years, and their friendship had blossomed into something more. They knew the risks involved, but they couldn't help the way they felt about each other.

One day, as they were walking in the park, they were suddenly surrounded by a group of government officials. Jimin's heart raced as he realized what was happening. They were being arrested for breaking the law.

"What's going on?" Jungkook asked, confusion etched on his face.

"We're being arrested," Jimin said, his voice shaking.

Jungkook's eyes widened in shock. "Why? What did we do?"

"We broke the law," Jimin said, tears welling up in his eyes. "We're not allowed to be together."

The officials dragged them to a nearby facility where they were separated and put in different rooms. Jimin could hear Jungkook's screams from the other side of the wall, and it broke his heart. He knew they were both in trouble, but he didn't know what was going to happen to them.

Days turned into weeks, and Jimin was subjected to numerous tests and experiments. They wanted to know everything about him, from his genetic makeup to his physical abilities. He was treated like a lab rat, and it made him feel like he was nothing more than a freak of nature.

One day, the officials came to him with a proposal. They said that they would release him and Jungkook if they agreed to undergo a procedure that would "normalize" their genetics. Jimin didn't know what that meant, but he knew that it would change who he was.

"What does that mean?" Jimin asked, his voice shaking.

"It means that we will alter your genetic makeup so that you're no longer considered a hybrid," one of the officials explained.

"But why? I don't want to change who I am," Jimin said, his voice rising with each word.

"You broke the law, and this is the consequence," the official said, his tone stern.

Jimin was torn. On the one hand, he wanted to be with Jungkook, but on the other hand, he didn't want to lose himself. He didn't know what to do.

In the end, he made the hardest decision of his life. He refused the offer, knowing that it meant he would never see Jungkook again. He was released, but he was a broken shell of who he used to be. He had lost everything, including the love of his life.

Years went by, and Jimin tried to move on with his life. He found a job and tried to make new friends, but he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness inside him. He missed Jungkook every day, and he couldn't help but wonder what could have been if they were allowed to be together.

One day, as he was walking home from work, he saw a familiar figure walking towards him. It was Jungkook. He was different now, but Jimin could still see the boy he had fallen in love with all those years ago.

"Jimin?" Jungkook said, his eyes widening in disbelief.

Jimin stared at him, unsure of what to say. He felt a rush of emotion
Jimin was hesitant to approach Jungkook. Part of him was angry and hurt that Jungkook hadn't fought for their relationship, but the other part of him was overjoyed to see his first love again.

"Hi, Jungkook," Jimin said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment before walking over to Jimin. "I've missed you," he said, his eyes searching Jimin's face.

Jimin felt his resolve crumble. He had missed Jungkook too much to keep up the act of being angry. "I've missed you too," he said, tears pricking at his eyes.

Jungkook took Jimin's hand in his own, and they stood there for a moment, looking at each other. They had both changed, but their feelings for each other were still as strong as ever.

"I'm sorry," Jungkook said, breaking the silence. "I should have fought harder for us."

Jimin looked at him, unsure of what to say. He had always thought that Jungkook had given up on their relationship, but now he realized that Jungkook had been fighting in his own way.

"I know," Jimin said, his voice shaking. "But we can't change the past. What matters is what we do now."

Jungkook nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "You're right. We can start over."

Jimin smiled back, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. They walked together, talking and catching up on everything that had happened in the years they were apart. Jimin had never felt happier than he did in that moment.

As they walked, they saw a group of government officials approaching. Jimin's heart raced as he realized that they were going to be arrested again.

But this time, things were different. Jungkook refused to let them be taken away again. He stood in front of Jimin, ready to fight for their love.

"I won't let you take him away from me again," Jungkook said, his voice strong and determined.

The officials hesitated, unsure of what to do. Jimin felt a surge of pride and love for Jungkook. He knew then that he would never let anyone or anything come between them again.

In the end, the officials left them alone. Jimin and Jungkook walked away, hand in hand, ready to start a new life together. It wouldn't be easy, but they were willing to fight for their love.

They knew that society might never accept them, but as long as they had each other, they could face anything that came their way.
