After consuming what felt like our body weight in food, Kasumi showed me the finest spots that Edogawa had to offer.

From the dome of Kasai Rinkai Park to the beautiful Spring cherry blossoms of Shinkawa Senbonzakura.

Eventually, the sun began to set on our glorious day, and it was time for us to part ways.

Kasumi, however, had other plans and wanted the fun to continue for a while. So, she invited me over to her place to stay the night.

If I can be honest, I had no plans back at home. All I would have done was wait for a possible phone call from Leah.

But as the days pass, it's becoming increasingly unlikely that she will ever contact me.

Fine, I won't force her if she wants to be that way. She's the one who made such a reckless decision to get involved.

Enough about her; she'll be fine. I finished taking a bath and changed back into my casual clothes.

I entered Kasumi's room to thank her for letting me use her bathtub. But what I saw shocked me to my core.

AKI: "I'm back, Kasumi; thanks for letting me use your-"

KASUMI: *Sob*

Kasumi was sitting on her bed, crying with her face buried into her knees.

I know that Kasumi cries pretty easily, but this time she looked really distressed.
