Chapter eleven

There's a time for everything,

          A time to listen,

     and a time to talk,

        A time to eavesdrop,

And a time to run!

My life officially sucked. Really bad.

I run noiselessly to my room. Tiptoeing when I had to.

Of course, Pari was already in bed, sleeping like a log.

     The shower continued.

For the fourth time in Highpeaks,
It had rained.

With rain came the blurry memories.

Clearing the recent, and bringing back rather ancient ones.

   The rain drove me insane.

I couldn't concentrate on the conversation I recently heard.
I tried my best not to dwell.

Apparently, the thick, foggy shower clouded my mind from any thoughts.

I stared at the ceiling. Remembering another time... Kyle's sarcasm.

I didn't admit it much... But I loved my brother. Really.

Next to Pari, he was the closest to me.

   I sighed.

I really needed to talk to Phil...
Nooooo . I had a best friend.

My face contorted in pain. The headaches were back.

I got out of bed and had a drink of milk from the fridge.

The Milk got spoilt daily; Not that the stupid fridge cooled much.

Electricity in this town was just as bad as the data connection; Non-existent.

Three baked donuts later, I actually felt sleepy.

You just couldn't go wrong with chocolate donuts.

I lay down on my brother's bed instead of mine.

No wonder he woke up grumpy and annoying! His pillow was hard as a rock.

I tried unsuccessfully to fluff the pillow but ripped it instead.

Nice going Kari

I threw it unto my bed when I realized something.

    Inside the feathers were notes.

You have been warned.  One said.

The debt hath not been payed. Another Said.

The last note scrawled in my brother's messy handwriting.
More of a diary entry, than the note; I noticed it was torn out of one.

       SATURDAY, MAY 3RD

DEAR DIARY, I GUESS,

This is the stuff girls do, but I guess no one's gonna know.
This town is getting wierder every minute.
Today, I went out to get some new underwear. Merde! I hope nobody ever reads this.
Only to be told, they didn't know what the heck it was. Imean who hasn't heard of teenage mutant ninja turtles underwear before?!

I burst out laughing. He was Soo dead the next time il'd meet him! Seriously? Teenage mutant ninja turtles??
I continued to read, of course. The stuff was getting too juicy.

I asked around for the creepy guy that warned us to leave the stupid town, only to be told that there was never any freaking guy there.

I picked another from under his blanket.

           SUNDAY 4TH MAY

ITS ME AGAIN,

Okay this freaking girlie diary is stupid.
June's hiding something, So are mum and dad. Kari and Pari are oblivious. Or Karis probably just stupid.

I seriously wanted to kill him that second. Forget loving the idiot jerk

I don't trust Bethany. I don't trust pretty boy either.
The time's stuck at 17:54 like some wierd omen. And I don't remember even one of my friends.
I'm getting out of this hellhole before it's too late.
I hope I'll make it back for Kari and Pari.
Then I'll get mom and dad out of their brainwashed state.

June could go take a fu- shoot!
Veronique's calling again. Later.
