" I can't breath" George Floyd
Carys
Sweat drips down my face as I fight my brain to wake me up. I turn side to side and whimper as my dreams slips me further and further into the dark.
I hate the dark it's where my fears linger waiting for me to take a step closer so it can hold me tight and never let go.
It's the same dream every night.
My mothers lifeless body folded in that tight space as my father screams at me to help him.
I cry out hoping they'll help me wake up. I scream and shout "help me please!"
I can hear them, I can hear screams but I can't make out the words.
My father punches me in the face telling me how worthless I am, how nobody would ever want someone as defected as I am.
Maybe he's right.
Just when the seal is shut and I can't see my mothers body anymore I slip into the darkness and I'm alone again.
"Carys Carys!!"
I jump awake gasping for air, my body weak while my eyes filled with tears.
"Shhh it's okay, your safe now he can't hurt you." He coos
"Carys please let us help you."
