Apart from dealing with the occasional orange player in the chaotic streets, Raku and I moved pretty swiftly.

In the times when the enemies did choose to pick a fight with us, it always ended up with my last killing hit. There wasn't any choice if they weren't yielding, and it didn't especially help that Raku was still having a hard time trying to overcome her opponents.

Even when she clearly had an advantage that was crazy broken, in terms of power level. Granted, the glitch that she had shouldn't even have existed.

She didn't break down mentally again when I landed the killing blows, though. I guess that's a good start for her.

Meanwhile, finding the Horizon's Edge assault team didn't seem to be finding a needle in a haystack.

No one else sported hair as green as Horizon's Edge's guild leader. I called Raku over as soon as I spotted Misuko ahead. She was with a full party of 6 other players, who were from Horizon's Edge's Land and Sea Companies.

"Finally, our Land Company leader's back!" She reached out a hand. "Your folks miss you."

"It's only been a week." I reached out mine and shook on it. "Let's go somewhere.....with lesser bustle."

It felt really great to be back with my guild again. My guild leader nodded, and also to Raku. "I take it you're Rakuno?".

"That's me." Raku nodded back.

"Splendid," Misuko turned back to me. "Lead the way."

"Already on it," I put on a smirk. "Hope you like stairs."

==============================

".....I hate stairs."

"At least you made the climb."

"Doesn't make it better."

While Misuko was struggling to use the most basic way of scaling a building, I was struggling to understand her struggle of trying to lift her feet to literally elevate her up half a metre in each step.

"You're not even climbing for real." I stared at her while standing at the edge of the last step, as she panted hard on each higher step.

"Don't you dare......start on the........'we're in a virtual world' bullshit. I can literally.......feel my legs.......spraining hard." Misuko leaned into the walls of the stairs.

I'd like to think that she has a point. The whole point of full dive technology was to let you experience a virtual world with the five senses. I didn't think it would have been that detailed back when I was getting used to moving around in this world.

At the very least, I didn't feel as much fatigue as I would have felt in the real world. Full dive tech has its limits when it comes to mimicking the five senses, but I wouldn't want to have it be as accurate as it was in reality.

The Horizon's Edge (HE) members behind Misuko were also going up pretty slowly. It was like they've never climbed any stairs before, though it was clear that they were going through the same thought process as her.

I waited for them to recover from their fatigue as I leaned onto the canyon wall facing the city.

"At least you get this fantastic view as consolation," I beckoned them to me.

Misuko trudged towards me as if she had metal blocks as feet. The moment she touched the canyon barrier, her face changed from fatigue to mesmerization.
