"...........Wow, just wow."

I definitely didn't know how to react to this.

I'm currently staring into an unknown truth that hit me real hard.

I never thought that Legolia, who I adventured with through the Elf War campaign, was a member of a family that runs one of the two elven kingdoms of Aincrad. She was really loyal to the kingdom of Kales'Oh, but that didn't necessarily prove that she had royal blood.

Legolia apparently ignored Taelios's bow, and started an interrogation. I could sense a reluctant tone mixed into her voice as she did it. Her face already gave away the fact that she was filled with anger.

"Taelios......explain. Explain why the fallen elves were in the fortress."

The forest elf maintained his composure and gave a welcoming smile to Legolia. He didn't really seem to acknowledge the existence of a certain human still in the process of understanding who Legolia really was.

"Is it wrong to negotiate with the fallen elves for a truce in the Elf War, Princess? I was merely--"

"Do not call me by that title. I am from the Kales'Oh Elven Royal Guard. You will do well to remember that."

"Oh? Then I apologize, Prin......Legolia. As I was saying, I was trying to negotiate peaceful terms with the Fallen Elves. As long as they are not our enemy, we do not have to worry about losing the Elf War."

Legolia apparently wasn't convinced. Walking up right in front of the captain, she directed her bow right at his face. An arrow materialized on the bow at the same time.

"The fallen elves have been our enemy longer than the dark elves did, and you are saying that we can cooperate with them all of a sudden? Even the dark elves see them as enemies as well!"

Taelios stepped back in reaction. It was a surprise he didn't flinch.

"I wish you would consider that what I did would benefit our kingdom greatly. His Majesty would most likely approve of this negotiation."

Legolia shook her head in disappointment. "My father had clearly stated that the fallen elves were not to be trusted in the last royal meeting. It seems you have forgotten what he had said, even though you were present at that time."

Taelios tried to argue again. "But I believe that--"

"I definitely don't buy what you said, Captain Taelios."

Both of the forest elves turned to me. Legolia was still holding up her bow.

I continued. "I think you were just making a deal with the fallen elves for something other than peace, am I right?"

Taelios obviously didn't like my intervention. "This is none of your business, human." Is that only what elf NPCs say to us players all the time?

"Legolia's business is also mine." I declared. "Especially when you're planning to steal the dark elves' rings."

The captain suddenly gave his full attention to me. "H-How did you know...?"

"Doesn't that worsen the Elf War? But seriously, if you really want to meet up with some elf in secret you shouldn't have chosen a forest with wide-spacing trees."

The accused forest elf started trembling, and stepped a few steps back. He then pulled out his sword from its sheathe and began to issue orders. "Kill the human. The Princess is mine to take care of." He then swung at Legolia, who blocked it with her bow in haste.
