Forbidden Love

Chapter 25

Theo and I sit next to each other while we eat lunch. We share more about our lives and Theo fills me in that he's on the Slytherin Quidditch team. He's a Beater. He also tells me more about his family and what makes him, him. 

As we sit there together and chat, I can't help but become completely infatuated with him. 

He's like a Greek God.. So poised and perfect.

"So, do you have anymore classes today?" He asks innocently. 

"No. My Flying 101 class has been moved to a once a week so I only have it on Wednesdays now. I mean.. It's not that hard to learn how to clean and mount your broomstick right?" I say giggling.

Theo laughs with me as we finish up our lunches.

"Well.. I'm free the rest of the day. Would you want to hang out?" I look over at him and smile.

"I'd love nothing more than to be with you the rest of today," I reply flirtatiously. 

We get up from the table and head for the courtyard. As we walk outside, we spot Mattheo, Blaise, Crab, and Goyle sitting beside the fountain. We walk over to them to ask Blaise how he's feeling.

"I'm fine guys. I think I ate something odd, but I'll be okay though."

I put my hand on Blaise's shoulder. "Glad you didn't kick the bucket, Blaise," I tell him. He looks up at me and gives a half smile before rolling his eyes. Typical asshole Blaise.

I slip one of my earbuds in and Run for the Hills by Tate McRae plays through. Mattheo gets our attention and makes immediate conversation with us all.

"Okay let's talk about the topic that's looming over us right now." I raise my head to look over at Mattheo who looks concerned. 

"I received an owl from Draco this morning after breakfast."  We all sit there waiting for him to continue, concern in everyone's eyes. "It looks like he won't be back to school for awhile.."

My mouth drapes open and I immediately stand up as a rush of both anger and sadness comes over me. I hear the guys yell after me as I storm off into the castle to go back to my room. 

Mattheo: Eden please come back!

Theo: Eden, please let us talk to you!

Blaise: Eden wait!

I run and run, anger and regret, and sadness fueling me until I finally reach the common room entrance. I stand there in front of the closed door, only wishing I would open it to find Draco sitting on the sofa, wishing that this was all just a sick joke. But I know that's not going to happen, so I open and slam the door and immediately run up to my room. 

I look into the mirror, tears flowing from my eyes now, and begin throwing anything I can find. I'm so fucking mad at him, and at the same time I just want him to be here to hold me. I don't understand why this is happening.. What could have possibly happened that he can't be here?! 

I pick up one of my books from the chair next to my bed and throw it across the room hard when I see something fly out of it. 

The note from Draco that I found earlier..

I walk over and pick it up from the rug. I open it and read it once again.

"I will love you as long as the sun burns in the sky, as long as the winter snow is white, and as long as the moon shines into the dark night. You will forever be my always, my love. -Malfoy"
