Balancing her fussing daughter in one arm and about a dozen bags on the other, Larissa fumbled in her back pocket for her keys. She managed to find it, but struggled to get it to the keyhole. Wednesday was squirming in her grasp, seemingly trying to make herself fall out of the taller woman's arms.

"Darling, hold still just a second."

Weems muttered, trying to get the key in the door. With shaking fingers, she finally managed to open it, letting out a huff of frustration. Shuffling inside, the shapeshifter left her shopping bags by the door and decided to focus on her needy little.

"Mama..." Wednesday rubbed her eyes, "When is 'Nid coming?'

"Soon baby, I promise." She sat them down on the couch to do a quiet hand off to the cushions. Turning on the television, Larissa turned on Cocomelon, Wednesday was soon staring at it intensely, forgetting about the earlier trauma.

Slowly having Wednesday slide off her lap onto the couch, she was able to stand up and put the shopping away. Soon there was a knock on the door, signifying the other pair had arrived.

"I'll get it! I'll get it!" Wednesday sprinted to the door, almost tripping over the bags that Larissa still had there. She paused, stepping over the bags and pulling open the door.

"Hi Willa!" The blonde werewolf launched herself into Wednesday's arms, nearly sending the pair of them tumbling to the ground. Marilyn laughed, closing the door behind her. She had a few shopping bags with her, but nothing near the amount Weems had.

"Lars? I've got those lamb chops you wanted." Leaving all but one bag in the hallway, Thornhill went into the kitchen.

"You are a lifesaver." Weems took out the meat, putting it in the fridge for later.

"So, I got Wednesday a present, nothing too big but I think she'd like it."

"Hmm? Oh, that's nice! Thanks, I'm sure she'll lo-"

The sound of wind chimes tinkling filtered through the hallway and into the kitchen. Larissas eyes went wide.

"I can hear Enid couldn't wait to give her the gift- What's wrong?" Marilyn was in the middle of pouring a glass of wine for each of them. "Why the face?"

"What exactly did you get her?" The screech that ripped through the apartment was glass shattering, literally as the wine glass broke in the woman's hand.

Rushing out of the kitchen, the pair saw Wednesday backed into a corner as Enid dropped the metal gift.

"Wh-What did I do wrong? I th-thought she would like these?" The blonde was crying, unsure what she did wrong. Enid turned her head upwards to make eye contact with the caregivers. "I-I'm sorry!"

"Wednesday..." Marylin watched as the little began to hyperventilate, back to the wall. "Larissa, what's going on?"

Wednesday pulled the pillow from the couch, placing it in front of herself. The shapeshifter sighed, walking over to the goth shaking like a frightened animal.

"Can you get rid of the present?" Weems asked as she crouched down.

Enid nodded, picking them up, making them chime again. She ran to the balcony doors and tossed them over the edge.

"Enid!" Marilyn scolded, gesturing for the girl to come over. "There are better ways to get rid of that."

"But Willa was scared, so I did it quickly."

Supposing her daughter was right, Thornhill wrapped an arm around her and guided her out of the room to give the other two some privacy, certain that Wednesday would appreciate it.
