Holding her little on her hip, Weems slowly meandered through the bustling crowds of the flea market. She passed by a small stall with various fresh fruit and vegetables, taking a moment to admire the vibrant colors. Wednesday, who was sucking on her thumb, mumbled "Mama, look."

With her free hand, she pointed at a table displaying different sweets. Apparently, her vision was good enough that she'd managed to spot some scorpion lollipops from a good few meters away. Ruffling her daughter's hair, Weems took her over to the stall.

"Do you want one, honey?"

Wednesday nodded. She pointed at one of the bright red ones, drool running down her chin as she admired it.

"Here, I'll buy it, but it's for later, okay? Not now."

Pouting, the younger girl kicked her legs lightly against her mothers thighs, exhaling loudly. Larissa paid for the sweet, putting it in her handbag with a wink. She hoisted Wednesday further up her hip.

"Wednesday, sweetie, do you need to go to the bathroom?"

The little shook her head. Larissa nodded, heading out of the shops to go get the stroller from her suv. They still had more shopping to do and as much as she loves her little, she couldn't cart her around all day on her hip.

When they got to her car, she sat the goth girl down in the seat for a moment. Wednesday was confused until she noticed her mother take out the wheeled device.

"No uppies?"

Larissa smiled fondly, struggling to lock the bars on the bottom of the padded stroller. "I'm sorry, darling. We have a lot to get done, and I need my hands free."

"Oh..."

"Hey, think about it this way, Enid will join us for lunch and you will have a whole lot of energy!" Larissa heard a click and stood up from her crouched position. "Maybe you can take a nap while I push you around, hm?"

Wednesday thought about it for a second before agreeing, only because of Enid though. Allowing the woman to pick her up, Wednesday was buckled into the soft seat. Weems dug out the soother from her pocket before moving the sun visor down.

"Let's get to the next shop, okay? We need to get more pans for cooking." Larissa explained to Wednesday, locking her car and pushing the pram forward.

As they walked through the busy square, Wednesday leaned back in her seat, looking around at all the people running with various shopping bags or large coffees.

One small dark family stood off to the side, going unnoticed by Wednesday for the time being, looking at the weapons shop that was visited last week.

Running her tongue over the plastic nipple of her soother, Wednesday was content to let herself be pushed around. She felt the stroller stop and heard Weems talking above her, and was then given a paper cup with a long straw. Frowning, she was about to ask her mother what it was when the woman bent down next to her.

"Have you had a slushie before, darling?"

Wednesday shook her head.

"Try it! It's good."

Letting her pacifier fall from her mouth, Wednesday replaced it with the straw, sucking on it. The sudden cold in her mouth startled her, and some of it dripped down her chin. Chuckling, Weems wiped it away with her sleeve.

"It's cold, huh." She felt her phone vibrating in her back pocket, and she grabbed it, seeing an incoming call from Marilyn. Pressing the green button, she was immediately met with the sounds of Enid's crying in the background. "Mary?"
