It was Wafa's first day in college after giving birth she was looking so pale as she was already skinny and delivery added more to it
Salar shifted her class downstairs so that she don't have to climb up the stairs
Salar told professors to keep their marriage hidden as they want to keep their personal and professional life separate to which they agreed but the actual reason was Wafa's safety
Salar told the maid to help her walk till class although Wafa can walk on her own it was his order
"May I come in mam?" Wafa asked casting her gaze low knowing they will scold her for not coming to college for one month
"Yes come in my child" Professor Sadaf said and felt bad looking at her scared face
Wafa looked here and there to sit but everyone kept their bags on chairs when she looked at the empty chair beside them
"Raima can I sit with you please" She requested
"Go bring chair for yourself" Raima said rudely
"Ok" She didn't have the energy to fight
"Where are you going?" Professor Sadaf asked
"For bringing chair" She got scared and said innocently
"There's no need for that go and sit beside your friends Zara and Fara" She said politely
She slowly walked towards Zara and Fara Fara removed her bag from the chair angrily
She sat beside them and smiled at them but they ignored her
"Friends? Huh" She thought sadly
"Can you please give me the work that happened in last one month actually I was not well" She was saying to Zara
"I don't wanna listen to your fake story we all know very well where you must be busy and no you can't get the work" Zara mocked
Wafa didn't say anything and started studying looking down at her book
Professor Sadaf came to her She stood up seeing her. She forwarded her hand towards Wafa's cheek to caress it but she thought that she's gonna slap she covered her cheek with the back of her hand
"I am sorry mam I was not well that's why I didn't come you can even confirm from my parents I am not lying but please don't hurt me" Wafa said keeping her eyes closed
"It's ok Wafa I will not hurt you I just wanted to know that if you're okay now" She said caressing her hijab-cladding head
Wafa got shocked and said "Yes mam Alhamdulillah thank you for asking"
Professor Sadaf controlled her tears and went toward the stage to teach
During the whole day every teacher behaved extremely well with her Professor Zahid didn't even look up once but the students were the same as before .................................................................... Wafa used to play with Ghazi and Zarrar after coming back from college
