I manage to survive my fitting next day, only thinking about Giovanni once. I distract myself with thoughts about the baby.

This baby is the only thing that brings me joy in my life anymore. To be honest it is the only reason I'm still going. I know it's dark, but if I didn't have this baby, I think I would have ended it a while ago.

I sit in a cafe, waiting for Kat to come meet me here. I'm really excited that I have a new friend, even if she works for Vogue. I need something normal in my life. She runs up to me and greets me and I pull her into a hug.

"So what do you want to do today?" She smiles at me through her shades.

"I am in desperate need for new clothes. This baby is growing a lot more this past week." I look down at my stomach that has gotten a little bigger from a couple days ago. She nods and we walk to the shopping centre.

We walk into the first clothing store we see and start roaming the shelves. We both pick up a couple things and go pay for them before I drag her into one of my favourite stores, Prada.

"Oh god no. I may work for Vogue but I can't afford anything in there." I laugh and drag her in anyway.

"It's okay honey, I've got it covered." I take off my sunglasses and analyse everything in the store. The manager greets me and shows us to the private room. I start to customise my own bag and Kat watches in awe.

I thank the man and we leave the store. We buy a couple more things before we head back to my house. At the front door, Kat tries to say goodbye but I just drag her inside.

"Kat?" She smiles at me.

"Yes?"

"Will you please attend the gala with me tonight?" She looks at me shocked and tries to turn the offer down.

"Please please please. Nicholas isn't going to be there and I'm sure you probably want more details for Vogue. Come one, you can't turn down a Princess. Especially one that's pregnant." She sighs and nods her head.

"It would be my honour to come Princess." I squeal and we go upstairs to get ready.

After a couple hours of her trying on things and then us doing our hair and makeup, we are finally ready.

Kat gasps when I come out with my custom Dior dress on

Kat gasps when I come out with my custom Dior dress on. The tulle bottom does a good job of hiding my bump, but I don't really care. The whole world knows and Nicholas made sure of that.

"Holy shit." I laugh at her comment and I compliment her dark green ball gown that she has managed to find in my closet. We put on our heels and jewellery and then I grab her hand and pull her into a special room in my closet.

"Come in here." I open the door and she gasps at the diamond jewellery and crowns in special glass cases. Once I knew I was going to be staying here a while I got security to make this room with a special lock on it so I have my diamonds with me.

She stares at it all in awe and I pull out one of the glass cases from the shelf. Inside of it is a rare black diamond tiara with a matching necklace and earrings.

She gasps and I bring her over near it. She holds her breath as she gets closer.

"You can breathe. They aren't going to break." She breathes out heavily and inspects the diamonds with awe.

"Jesus christ, they're gorgeous." I place the tiara carefully on my head before putting on the earrings then turning to her.

"Can you help me with the necklace?" She shakes hr head no immediately and I laugh.

"Come on. It's not gonna break."

"No. No way. I'm not risking it."

"I'll let you wear something in here." She contemplates it before giving in and placing the necklace around my neck and carefully doing it up. I thank her and pull out the draw. I pick up a pillow with a diamond necklace on it that will match her outfit perfectly.

She gasps as I carefully do the necklace up at the back of her neck. She stares at it in the mirror, admiring the jewels.

"Now be careful, that's about 6 million dollars hanging around your neck." She looks at me in fear as I simply laugh and we leave the room.

"How the fuck do you walk around so casually wearing this? It's worth more than my whole life." I laugh and we exit out the front door.

"Sweetie, I'm worth more than any of those diamonds. They're just an accesory."
