It hurts to breathe because every breath I take proves I can't live without you.

Grace's pov

Sitting on a bar stool in our apartment for the first time since I've been released from the hospital. I was so weak from lack of food and my doctor told me not to take my medicine because that was literally keeping me from collapsing. When I first tried to get out of my hospital bed, I would've collapsed if it wasn't for Jungkook being there to catch me. The Army has been generous in letting them stay for over two weeks here while I recover. Jungkook and I formed a deeper bound ever since I was hospitalized.

He's been watching me like a hawk; I remember when I was first able to eat solid foods, he tried to order for me.

"She'll take this." Jungkook pointed at something on the menu.

"Jungkook! That's way too many calories." I protested, forgetting that lack of calories was what got me here in the first place.

Jungkook glanced at me, "Nevermind, she'll take this instead." He had picked the most caloric meal on the menu!

"Jungkook!"

He looked at me sternly, "Girl, shut your damn mouth. You're just skin and bones and I WILL not have you start this shit again."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.

I chuckled at the memory, "What's so funny?" My head came up and I saw Jungkook leaning against the wall with a curious smile on his face. He looked so handsome with his hair slicked back and hands in his pockets.

"Oh, just remembering how you scolded me for trying to eat less calories and then you picked the most caloric choice on there."

He walked towards me with a smile, "You better watch yourself when I'm gone. I better not get a phone call from one of the members saying you were cutting back your calories."

Rolling my eyes and I tried to get off the stool, but I stumbled a bit, hitting my elbow on the counter. "Whoa, easy." Jungkook caught me. He steadied me and looked me up and down, "You okay?" his eyes were filled with concern.

"Yes, I'm okay. I just bumped my elbow against the counter, that's all."

He rubbed my arms before releasing me, "Be careful."

"I know. You keep saying that."

"And I'll keep saying it." he chuckled at me and ruffled my hair. "I'm leaving tomorrow." he said solemnly.

My head looked at him in a snap, "So soon?"

"I'm sorry Grace but we have to report back to base."

Wrapping my arms around his waist tightly, my cheek pressing against his broad chest, "I'll miss you. Oh! I have something for you."

Taking his hand, I guided him into my room; picking up a small, wrapped package, I handed it to him. He looked at me with a warm smile, "Thanks."

"Open it." I rocked back on my heels expectantly. I craned my neck to see his reaction when he saw what I had given him. When the gift was revealed, he paused and stared.

"Do you not like it?" I asked anxiously.

Jungkook looked up with watery eyes and shook his head, "I love it, Grace. I'll keep it on my dresser." I had given him the original photo of us together in the meadow in a pretty frame. "Something to remember me by."

Jungkook cupped the back of my head and drew me into him, "Grace, I could never forget you. You have made an eternal imprint on my life, jamae."
